Very comfortable win against a frankly disappointing Wingate and Finchley, we played some good stuff at times and really a 5 or 6 goal win would not have been out of place. Back to the top of the league, upwards and onwards!

Spot on, 6-0 wouldn't have flattered us. Very poor performance by the ref, constantly conned by their whinging no 3, whose main contribution to the game consisted of falling over and screaming as if he been shot by a sniper.

Not sure about the carnival atmosphere.
I think the idea that we played them off the park are a bit far fetched. We were not really any better than them in the first half and went in 2-0 up thanks to two pieces of awful defending. Second half we were much better and deserved our win. We scored one very good goal, hit the post a couple of times and finished fairly woefully when clear through on goal (what was Browny doing?). An enjoyable day with a decent crowd making some good noise although there were some strange chants about keyboard warriors etc. I have no clue as to what that was about.

Sunday football at the Gallagher in October !! Lovely weather and good attendance, but fairly mutted crowd ... Let's get rid of the undercover security that is stopping our "hardcore" supporters the way of expressing their support to our lads .. because it bothers some stuffy people in the main stand ... Just an observation !!! lol. I did think that Wingate and Finchley , due to their league position would have given us more of a testing time, but apart for the first 10 to 15 minutes of the game and soon after Captain Marvellous Watts glanced a header from a now familiar long throw from Flisher , they disappeared and posed us little resistance ... 2-0 at half time and I couldn't see them redressing the situation in the second half, but the time we had scored the third goal, they were so far off our standard that it was a bit embarrassing, especially that we could have scored 2 or 3 more goals ... Their goalie pulled some good saves but was very inept against each goals (headers) that went passed him. Once again we can't thank the visiting supporters for their numbers , thought they could have made a bit more of an effort to turn up in numbers, especially when we changed the fixture date to accomodate their Jewish celebrations. I keep harping on about the next few league games that we have coming up and about the "testing time", but the more we play these teams, the result is about the same with our lads producing the goods and much to our disappointment the team from the North Kent Coast is still holding on at our apron's string ... Would be nice if another team could beat them again to give us that bit of a cushion ahead of them. Well done to everyone today, even if there were one or two who were not totally on top of their game, our defence, midfield and the ever reliable Flisher, who chased every balls on the field until he was subtituted. I was also very impressed with Bradley Jordan when he came on as a sub late in the game, his passing , vision is something that was very neat and efficient, creating one or two goal scoring moves that deserved a better finishing. We move on, regaining top spot in the League with a couple of cup games to come now and we should be proud of how well we have done so far in this campaign. C'mon the Stones !! ... Let's make some more noise and cheer our team to a successful conclusion, albeit a little way ahead and achieve our goal of getting out of this League and ply our football at the next level where we deserve to be !!

Sorry stoneinfrench, you're out of order blaming the people in the main stand. Blame the one or two idiots who can't support the team without resorting to vile or obscene language.

I think the lack of noise is purely down to what goes on on the pitch.
When it's a close game, or we don't like the way some of their players behave, we make a noise. When it's an easy game like today's, where we never really have to up our game, and the opposition (baring the first 10 or 15 minutes) are so obviously below our level, then what is there to make a noise about?
As a Town End regular, I was actually quite surprised there was as much noise as there was today - it was mostly like watching a friendly (even the weather was more like August than October!).

Back to the football. We made them look like relegation fodder. My god we look a classy outfit. No negatives from me. Great performance guys.

I thought the noise at the Town End was pretty good really. There seemed real excitement as the game went on. Not sure who the undercover cops were but, despite the insinuations, I was not one of them

It was a good performance tonight from the Stones but I felt we took our foot off the gas too early. We should have won 5-0. The atmosphere in the town end was better than last week and I must give a big thumbs up to the Wingate keeper who really gave us all a good laugh by joining in with the banter - a top guy.

Their goalie seemed an OK bloke. Several times he gave our players a friendly acknowledgment when they'd failed to score and he applauded our substitutions (not sure I've seen any goalie do that).
How come you made the game, nws? You seemed pretty sure you were going to miss it.
