Whilst I understand Jay's frustration I don't see how and why we should rely on other clubs to give our players games for the sake of it. Clearly there's something not quite right here but if we had a player on loan from another club who we felt wasn't quite fitting into the team would we want Jay to continue playing him just because it was part of the agreement? Charley is clearly still in Jay's plans but it's for us as a club to bring him on

But I would guess that both clubs talk to each other before hand. I should imagine Folkstone would have said he would be an asset for a month and he would get game time. If Jay knew he wouldn't get games I'm pretty sure he would have let another club have him on loan. This is part and parcel of a Maidstone bringing players like charley on.
