Can't argue with that report. Really great second half against a top quality Kingstonian side. Thought we also defended well in the first half when Kingston were full of pace and tricks upfront.
The goals will take the headlines, but thought that Parkinson & Rogers had really solid games in midfield.

Wow! That was a real Five Star performance from start to finish, everyone of our lads put in a superb performance tonight. Jay's said recently that the side hadn't quite clicked but there can be no doubt that they clicked tonight. We saw a good first half against Canvey but this was an even better effort over the full 90 minutes against a side that hadn't lost until tonight and which in truth, were made to look no better than average, despite having a handful of decent chances themselves
The pace and intent shown going forward was excellent, and the composure, control and foresight in defence and midfield were as good as we've seen from a Stones line up in a long time
As good as he is playing wide, Flish playing centrally is making twice the contribution, 2 goals for Ben should give him a confidence boost, and Bodders, Frannie, Jay May and Miller all look a real threat going forward, all showed a real desire tonight
Parky and Rogers just get better with each game and the line up at the back looks really solid, all made some excellent challenges and Watty continues to be a real handful both aerially and on the deck in the oppo's box
15 goals in 4 games, and we could have scored more on Saturday and again tonight, and strength on the bench. Good to see Browny get on tonight
Well done Jay Saunders and Nicky Southall,
....and Wealdstone lost at home to the bottom side tonight and are now bottom themselves

The report gives the bare bones of the game, but it doesn't really capture the difference in the two halves.
In the first half we were playing a side equally as good as us, it was a really good advert for the quality at the top of the IP, and either side could have scored. Both strike forces were impressive, both goalies were on fire, and both sides displayed some incredible defending. I thought we just shaded it, as we had Kingstonian under pressure for long periods, but they always looked likely to score and their defence was keeping everything out. 0-0 was a pretty fair result at half-time - but it could easily have been 0-1, and then it might have ended a very different game.
But all that changed with the first goal early in the second half. I'm not sure if it was just the fact that we scored first, or the nature of the goal, but Kingstonian's heads really went down. Their goalie was still shaking his head in disbelief when the game restarted, and their players walked away, shoulders slumped. After that it was a different game, with us totally in control and almost scoring at will. With their no 10, they always looked capable of scoring, and, when we took our foot of the peddle briefly with the distraction of a substitution, they duly did. But they never looked likely to seriously challenge our lead.
I've rarely seen a game change so much following the first goal. If I were Kingstonian's manager, I'd be seriously worried about the way they crumpled so easily. As good as they are, there's no way they're going to win the league, or even make the play-offs, with that sort of attitude. In their defence, I suppose tonight was a pretty big game for them, a chance to prove that their good start was more than just a few good results, a chance to show what they could do against the league leaders in front of the IP's biggest crowd. And in the first half, they did exactly that. But then to see all that effort wasted because of a silly scrambled goal, after keeping out so many much better attempts, that must have been really hard to take. But, whoever you're playing, it's fatal to let just one goal hit you that hard.
I think Kingstonian are good enough to make the play-offs, but they aren't going to win the league.
We, on the other hand, if we can keep playing like that, are definitely going to win the league!
Margate? Smargate!

My favourite moment tonight was their no 12, the shortest player I've seen in years, challenging Parkinson, who must be at least 6'5" - their player looked about half Parkinson's size!

Only one thing in that I'd argue with JDL. We're not gonna have the Isthmian Premier's biggest crowd this season unless the council change their minds about our capacity. Dulwich Hamlet had over 2800 on Saturday.

We were good first half and Kingstonian were good too. Second half we just took them apart and it very much looked like we were great rather than them playing particularly badly.
Alex Flisher was on fire and every player had at the very least a decent game. Our current lineup works so well and my only complaint is I feel bad we've got such great players like Phillips, Brown, May, and Coyle warming the bench. Still it's that fantastic depth that should help us keep this running going when injuries and tiredness start to play a part.

I thought we were unlucky to go in at half time level. We must of had at least six corners and although the K's were always a threat on the break, defensively we were strong against a pretty good forward line. Second half blew me away it was by far and away the best performance I've ever seen at the Gallagher. Everyone was on there game tonight. We pressed the ball for 90 mins and in the second half other than there goal I can think of many other chances. Flisher was awesome in the second half as was the whole team. I would say we are starting to click and I can't wait for the next game.

Dismiss that stat mate, nice of them as it was, they only achieved it because of their "pay what you want" for that games and there are quite a dew council estate close to the ground !!. The Council took a few years to grant an application to allow us to build our Grand Stadium and hopefully with another stand being added next year, we will achieve our targets !! ... Just a tad upset that we have still 2 to 5 hundred missing fans from last season !!

Superb game. I thought both teams played well. very difficult to choose a MOM. Was it my imagination or did the ref not show a single yellow card? Only gripe about the ref was how did he not give us a free kick when a back pass was collected by their goalie? COYS
