Just seen on the Margate website that they have withdrawn from the Ryman under 21 league following resignation of manager and 5 players. Also the youth section decided not to affiliate themselves with the club and remain seperate concern despite the offer of free admission to games and free trips to Wolves games. Something is amiss perhaps they think the progression route is closed. Cant see to many awards for a community club.

The tears may not flow this year, but they are certain to appear at some stage. Better to 'manage' progression as we aim to do

The fun will start - Margate are showing clubs how not to go about growing your fan base.

Look at the wording on the youth team statement from the club about withdrawing thier offers of support and incentives. The fans maybe looking through tinted specs about the first team but under lying issues seem to be raising thier heads. God I hope we beat them and perhaps some of the promising players from the youth sides may end up in yellow with a future. Oh and the best bit was to offer the youth teams the opportunity to train for free in Kidbrooke nice and local.

Why do you have such an unhealthy obsession with other clubs affairs, if news of a new asst manager and new signings are not enough to quell your apparent dislike of certain clubs you really need to get a grip - what goes on in other clubs is tittle-tattle and pure gossip.

Touched a nerve taken from Margates own twitter posts so not rumour or gossip. My interest is the development of young footballers at grass roots level something that money in the Premier League has ruined. Just dont want to see the same thing happen lower down the pyramid. Community clubs are the way forward.

Innuendo-rumours.... Who mentioned dislike? I like Margate and their fans. Good bunch and approachable. Why does he have to get a grip? Cos he had an opinion?
