When I moved down here the Vic was open but never went in there. You'd walk past and think, naaaaaa. Pubs in st Mary cray are more friendly looking. She made the excuse that she needed to go to the toilet, so we went in there and ended up in the snug, people were a bit strange but friendly enough, it was the first time i had drank in there since back in the mid 1990s, when they had 99p a pint fosters offers , but never stayed late there, would normally have a few in the whitehorse in Bearsted, get the train to maidstone east, have a few 99p pints of fosters then go into town A good friend of mine who I shall call Hubert** is a rabid Sutton United fan who went into the Vic a few years ago with a friend. Hubert's first problem was that the bottled Becks on offer were nowhere near cold enough, but anyway they stuck with it. Hubert then needed a slash, but his friend, left alone in the bar became intimidated by the presence of the locals crowding around him, had a panic attack and sprinted out of the pub, down the slope and headlong onto a train back to London. Hubert emerged from the Gents and was puzzled to find himself alone.................. ** Alias used to protect the identity of real living people.

Earl St and Pudding Lane is ours lol Seriously though great pubs IMO Trouble is, there's the posh ones like and ant and Tim who like "nice meals" then there is the pocket watchers who use spoons then there's the rif raf like you pezza who are complete whores who will drink where they can get served. Thus dispersed fans across the whole town.

I would hope that it is not for Stones supporters to adopt a pub , But the pubs in the town to go out to court our custom . There is a potential customer base there just waiting .

Spot on stainese, we've found a pub that really didn't get that point, I would imagine he's counting the cost now though.
That said, at least the close season wouldn't have had such an impact on his "profits".
Shame though
