I must agree with Darren . Is this the FA's reaction to England's failure in the forth coming World Cup . Will this spell the end of promotion to the Football League ? Crazy ideas

I've been told I swear too much so I'm unable to offer my opinion.

Bonkers indeed.....but interestingly the Conference claim they weren't consulted but Danny Mills has just said they were......this is the same Conference who claimed Oliver hadn't tried to "engage" with them.....
What is clear to me is the conference is a shambles who hide behind "votes" and lack leadership....meaning the FA has little respect for them and can't rely on them to take English footballs forward.
Whilst the proposals for B teams are damaging to non league terms like "blackmail" from the most senior member of the conference board over something that is FIFA approved and the fact we had to appeal to the FA to participate in a play off would not have helped the image of non league football.

Possibly bonkers but in reality must be a cunning plan to get 3G introduced above Conference level without asking these miserable sods in conference and Fotball League what they think about it...

I don't think its bonkers, the rest of Europe has been doing it for a while, we all jump up and down when 3g is dismissed, we claim to be forward thinking, and yet when we try and improve our hopelessly out of date league structure, we cry foul, your all just so 1980

Thought quite a bit about this and it may not be such a bad idea as in how HS1 was handled. 1)Give the public various options ( 4 routes in the case of hs1 = Give the footballing clubs/boards/public a blueprint of possible solutions for improving the standard of football. 2) Lengthy consultation process hs1 = Lengthy consultation process for football development plans 3) Sit back as everyone vies to have there voice heard safe in the knowledge the decisions have already been made by hidden faceless men in suits (both) 4) Announce the findings of consultations to the delight of three quarters of the complainants only pissing a small percentage of the public off = announce that after careful consideration and consultation that the idea of a league 3 will not be adopted but all other Dyke/FA plans will go ahead ( including 3G at all levels). Queue celebrations by conference/anyone else opposed to the idea not realising they have just been shafted by the back door. ....onwards two years when they all realise... and we are quietly smirking as we rise through the leagues with our 3G pitch.

I think its the craziest idea ever!! By all means set up decent/better reserve leagues for the top teams but not within the existing pyramid. Fans of teams in League 2 or the Conference will not want to see their teams playing 'B' teams or being pushed further down the leagues by these teams. It will ruin the entire soul of English football. Terrible idea!! In fact it would destroy my love of the game! Please sign if you agree.... www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/the-football-association-say-no-to-b-teams#share

Bonkers indeed they will be wanting to play on grass next. How long did it take to get a pyramid system ? This is all for the benefit of the big boys ? If you want to improve the number of english players we must stop the influx of ordinary journey man players from abroad, foreign owners who have no consideration for fans and tradition, and get some proper english managers and coaches that send teams out to win by playing positive, exciting, attacking football. 3g pitches where kids can be taught the skills they need, the time should be spent with a bias towards skills training rather than game after game. Our kids are burnt out before they peak if they are good they can end up playing for club, school, district, kent, soccer elite, psa and when they get home they go down the field with thier mates. Players on 300k moan if they have 2 games a week some of our kids can end up playing 3 games in a weekend at a critical stage of thier physical development. Some talking points please debate !

It might well work in Europe but Europe doesn't have our non-league following Thousands of non-league fans follow hundreds of clubs all over the country and now they want to stuff another league that you can't play in the fa cup or get promoted past league 1? I'm all in favour of producing a stronger England bit this isn't the answer If they want to give more young English players a chance limit the number of foreigners in the premier league! Oh no they won't have that, so just wedge another league down there where it doesn't matter! No it's bonkers!
