It's a question often posed on here.. who has been the best player to appear for the Stones (so far) since we reformed. Butler a class above in the Kent League, Ian Selley a top talent in the Ryman... Smalling never really had time to show his class... but Rooney must be up there. And, no, as much as we love Lacey he does not make it into this particular list!!!

Rooney is well up there. His vision and ability to pick a pass is phenomenal. It's difficult to judge the best because you have to take into account who they are playing with. Louis Cumbers was superb combined with Andy Martin but would he have done quite so well on hid own?

Let's all get behind him, he could be even better next season , we need to make him want to stay.

Lee Worgan is an interesting one. Easy to forget a keeper, he should definitely be playing at a higher level, Wales U21 and we've seen the difference having him this season to last, worth 20 goals a season on his own. Better than Rooney, maybe not, but must be in there as the best keeper

And Lee definitely kept us in the game yesterday

My only concern with Rooney is that away from home he has been very average. At home he has been brilliant but after watching last few away games he tends to go missing.
Worgan I agree with best keeper in the league

Tom Parkinson or Jack or Dan???
no seriously
Lyndon Rowland Ryan Royston Or the other Mo!
Rooney might be ok but he'll probably be gone at end of season so cant really judge him on a few games...being good is one thing -staying around is another..
Flish to be fair has been a star over the last 4 or so years as as Tommy Mills.
One player who was always excellent for us was Jay!
But thinking clearly about this its gotta be Des Boeteng

For sheer commitment it has to be Ryan Royston, would never have won the Ryman South title without him.Stones legend.

Elliot Brabrook, Peter Ovenden, Oz (can't remember name), Jamie Kempster, Ian Court. Connor Hagan are just a few names that spring to mind

Elliot Brabrook, Peter Ovenden, Oz (can't remember name), Jamie Kempster, Ian Court. Connor Hagan are just a few names that spring to mind Oz (Adrian Webster) was certainly one of our best players, and a New Zealand international to boot, but considering we are higher now than we have ever been since reforming, for me it's got to be one of the current crop and I'd go for Worgs, Frannie is up there but I'd like to give some recognition to Mills and Flish who have been with us through some pretty dark times and have stuck by whoever has been in charge and have improved as each season goes by. Look at how Flish played yesterday and compare that to the difficult start he had to this season....
