There's been a lot of talk recently about injuries and we got a great result today in spite of a number of key players being missing or on the bench because of injury. So I thought I'd have a quick look at what the real impact has been from our injuries this season and just how badly have we been affected. I think the below shows we've been very affected and Jay has done a great job getting the best out of a constantly changing team. I was amazed how many players we've used this season. Be great to hear others thoughts.
* We've had 30 players start a League Game for us this year so far! * However only 8 have managed to start more than 50% of our games, highlighted below in bold (By contrast Liverpool have had 20 players start a league game this season with 11 starting more than 50%. Arsenal have had 21 players start a league game this season with 11 starting more than 50%, you get the picture) * Constant change has been seen at RB, CB, CM, RM * Settled positions have been GK, LB, LM, SC * Neither Watt or Phillips have managed to start 50% of our games
GOALKEEPER Worgan 37
FULL BACK Mills 36 - D. Parkinson 10 - Davies 9 - Cox 9 - Rose 7 - Sullivan 5
CENTRE BACK Sobers 24 - Andrews 23 - J. Parkinson 17 - Watt 14
CENTRE MIDFIELD Brown 27 - Phillips 18 - Saraiva 10 - Rooney 8 - Campbell 5 - Phipp 4 - Lye 3
WINGERS Flisher 34 - Hill 15 - Smith 10 - Robertson 6 - Woolery 6 - Hughes-Mason 1
STRIKERS Collin 34 - Attwood 26 - Booth 4 - Draycott 2 - Harris 2 - Miller 1

But how many of our players miss games due to other commitments? Premier League players are paid an awful lot of money to play football whereas our lads (mostly) have jobs outside the game in order to pay the bills.
