There will be a pitch inspection at half 1 for our game against Bill and Ricky.

Much rain up there? I'm in Haywards heath, few showers not to bad.

Forecast for Billericay is rain from 3pm today, including heavy rain at 4 and 6.
No idea what their pitch is like, but if it's at all dodgy, I can't see the game going ahead if this forecast is right.
Just a thought on all this - I'm sure games didn't get postponed so much 20-30 years ago? Frost or snow, and occasionally waterlogged pitches, yes, but mostly you played, whatever the state of the pitch. I've seen games played with huge puddles on the pitch, with the goal areas looking like Ypres, or totally sand, balls sticking in the mud, players aquaplaning down the wing, goalies so muddy you can't tell what strip they're wearing, players having to change strip at half-time. When did things change?

I'd hardly say this place is a meeting of minds in fairness.

So they were unable to play a home game for 6 weeks and the conference have no issues with their pitch?

So they were unable to play a home game for 6 weeks and the conference have no issues with their pitch? Of course not, the conference will greet them with open arms, they have a grass pitch and that's all that matters, never mind they won't be able to play for the next few weeks due to the pitch
