Smells like the aroma of burning martyr is in the air. " mud slung in their direction"...no chance of that on tippy tap carpets, just anti-football. Yawn

If they think they will lose the legal argument (then the FL would lose it too) their best approach would surely be to negotiate 3G in Conf S & N in 2014/5, Conf Nat 2016/7 & L2 2018/9 to give everyone time to adjust. We could surely live with that. Agreed. If the Conference still let this go all the way to Court they might find a judgement in Maidstone's favour could not only pave our way to a place in the conference but make any ban on 3G in England illegal.

Thought this for a while too but didnt want to say it out loud! Im sure the football league will put their support behind the conference as well. Big fight on our hands lets hope justice prevails

May be the focus of our push to get 3G excepted should start at the top with the F.A when they permit it's use in all competition.s in all rounds then the skrills refusal will become futile .

I agree;any change has to come from the top. It's not as if the FA(and Greg Dyke in particular)is unaware of what is happening. I hope someone from UEFA is following this and is prepared to support the 3G case in court, if need be. If the case is lost, might it be taken to Europe?

But what is Maidstone's legal case? The Conference aren't stopping us playing football or signing players, or earning money from the pitch, so where's the restraint of trade? What they are preventing is promotion to a different level where we could carry on doing more of the same, but more expensively.

Have tried to follow as many threads on this subject as I can, but apologies if this has been mentioned and I'm repeating somebody.
Has anybody challenged the conference as to why it is they are so draconian about 3G, yet they are more than happy to have their clubs promoted to the football league with sub-standard stadia. The rules on that, of course, state that stadia must then reach a minimum standard by the 3rd season of promotion.
Nobody says anything about that, do they.

I'd love to know who the other clubs in 3G4US are. Merthyr are well on their way from level 4 to 3 and, as an ex-Conference club, will have ambitions to keep moving up the pyramid. Along with Sutton, Dorchester, Harlow, Sutton Coldfield and I think Accrington and Wycombe, we have allies.
