In my opinion, subs came on too late! Saw Jack Harris preparing to come on just before our penalty. We scored it, and Jay told him to sit back down? Is this really our tactics at home....to settle for a draw after conceding?

Thought it was a fair result they wanted it more then we did.My 2 complaints were the time wasting by the goalkeeper and the number 4 was an utter disgrace the way he kept man handling Parkinson but then thats down to weak ref

Yes the ref wasn't great but I've seen a lot worse. Bottom line was our formation was a wrong from the start & it took too long to change it. Why change a winning formula?

Strange game and in all honesty we just about got what we deserved, the team was a bit disjointed and that's not all down to Rooney, other players weren't at the races either, Canvey are a much better team than their current league position, we had so many chances after we conceded but they just wouldn't go in, I believe we should set our team up to play our own game especially at home and let the opposition worry about us, but hey it's easy to be a football manager watching from the stands. My man of the match was Flisher, he worked his socks off and hopefully he will kick on for the rest of the season and be the player he was last season, roll on Tuesday when we can put this result behind us......COYS

We created more chances in 15 minutes playing 4-4-2 then we did the previous 75!! I don't understand why you would change winning formula. The inclusion of Rooney meant Browns trademark forward runs were curtailed. There was no space for him to play his natural game. We are so much better playing with 2 wingers and 2 up top. We certainly didn't do enough to win game. Jay has tough call for Tuesday night as he knows we need to play 4-4-2 but will not want to leave Rooney out. I think he has to. Brown & Phillips are great foils for each other in middle of park.

I thought it was a very poor performance. One of the worst first halves ive seen and not much better second half. Im normally fully supportive of Jay but that needed changing at halftimr yesterday. Kaiyne came on way to late. We shifted our successful pattern to accomodate what i accept is a quality player for this level even if he wasnt match fit. It didnt work. Maybe. Dare i say it give frannie the night off tuesday and try Rooney tucked in behind Zac against Cray ?? Frannie will come back in as he is quality but lets take him out the firing line for a game Still hopeful of playoffs but think the title is slipping away a bit. Coys.

Am I the only one who thought Rooney added nothing to the team? His inclusion disrupted the side, he failed to make one telling pass and we looked a much better side once he had been replaced by Kayne.
Sad to say that the G*lls fans at work summed him up perfectly: runs around like a headless chicken!

Was a little concerned when we signed him as to what his attitude would be like dropping down from the leagues of the mighty. At least it seems arrogance hasnt been an issue.
Should of introduced him as a sub and started with what was working

Sad to say that the G*lls fans at work summed him up perfectly: runs around like a headless chicken! I'm afraid I thought much the same thing. You don't play a player just because you've just bought him, or he cost a lot, or you think he's good - you play him when he's match fit and there's a place in the side for him. OK, give him a run-out, if he's that good (and we all wanted to see him, anyway), but pull him off when it's obvious he's preventing the team from playing well. He should have come off at half-time or as soon as they scored. I'm not as sure about Jay as most on here. He's done well for us, and I'm always in favour of loyalty, but I don't think he's really up to this level. He did well to get us up and to get us to the top, but he won't stop tinkering. Build a good squad/team, let it play and develop it - don't keep chopping and changing. We were good enough to win the IP, we didn't need further 'tuning'. Compare and contrast with the managers of Dulwich and Wealdstone - they're doing the same (or better) without the resources we've got. Nine draws from 17 home games is a pretty loud alarm bell.

Cant really argue with the result. Nothing to do with the ref either. We need to man up a bit in midfield.
