That the game at Kingstonian is postponed, just to prove a point.

Much better that every conference game for the next 3 weeks is postponed.

Looking at the weather over the next 24hrs i would not be surprised if most of the games get postponed again ........... 3G the only way to go

It will probably be on tomorrow, it's not a professional club's pitch for no reason. Kingstonian ground share with AFC Wimbledon. It's only the K's away games that have been postponed.

I'm not so sure judging from the water in my bird bath at the bottom of the garden. It's overflowing from the sides

I live in South West London and its been raining heavily all week. Overnight forecast looks dire too. More likely off than on IMO.

For the love of god JT, how's the hot tub? Like a tub full of hot water. It's lovely sitting in it in the rain. As Mrs T pointed out though you do get a wet head when it rains.

As a K's fan, I won't dare to get into the whole 3G debate - although personally, I'm all for it - but our pitch is as good as it gets in non-league. That's because, as has been pointed out, it's not really a non-league pitch, as it's maintained by AFCW. Our home game v Dulwich went ahead when nearly every other game in London was off, but given the severity of the storm expected, there is half a chance it'll be postponed. Hoping not. If any of you want to read a preview of a game that might not even go ahead (!), I've written one: thekingstonroadend.wordpress.com/

Kingstonian fans are welcome on here, and so are most other fans for that matter, I've been fighting the 3G battle on other clubs forums and endured a whole world of anti Maidstone abuse....."rules are rules"...blah blah blah...
Kingstonian have been supportive of the 3G debate (probably a sign of their high intelligence)so I hope tomorrow we can get back to playing football.
The pitch is maintained by AFCW kind of backs our argument up that clubs simply don't have the resources at non league level to maintain good grass pitches.
Interesting post on the Wealdstone forum by the legendary Alan Ainsworth who pretty much spells out our current position and gets it spot on regarding budget, game plan etc.
