Is it called off because of the pitch, or because the road that leads to the ground is flooded?

It has been rather wet over here recently, as the 4 inches of flood water in my office would testify last week, however if the road outside the ground is flooded I'm going to need a snorkel! I'm only 300 yds from the ground, but about 2 foot lower down

That's around 40 games in our league so far this month But it's not a problem that needs addressing in any shape or form apparently, nor the issue with clubs struggling to make ends meet.

FFS stupid poxy clubs with their stupid grass pitches. If only there was some other type of surface that didn't waterlog that they could put in that would allow them to play in almost any condition. When o when will this be invented... Oh wait

Townendphil that is just radical thinking why would we need that....supports like to get the game cancelled ... Why would we need a new surface to play on when we have perfectly good mud baths that we can never play football on!!!
3G the only way to go

Apparently in countries outside of England they have this type of surface that improves the technical ability of players. But I'm not sure it's the way forward because as a nation we are always challenging for the title of "World Cup Winners"....whereas Spain, Holland, Italy etc....are always going out on penalties just after the group stage.

I wonder if Man United,City,Chelsea,Arsenal etc would decline entry to the Champions League if UEFA made 3G pitches possible in competitions?...

Perhaps if we were to rip holes, paint parts of the pitch brown and let the local dogs shit all over it the surface would be more like a shitty non league grass pitch, perhaps then the suits would be more convinced ?
