Never going to happen this week and im not 100% sure threatening them with legal action will either. Hope im wrong but we could be in for a bumpy ride. Can we join the scottish league. They seem to like 3g!! Fearfull all the feelgood factor weve had will disappear if were left to stagnate. Please dont let us suffer again Oliver weve been through too much. Still we wouldnt be here without Oliver and Terry so they get my vote!

Whilst wishing 'all the best' to the Club, I must admit to feeling pessimistic about the outcome.Much has been made about the cost of 'ripping up the 3G' if the Club gains promotion. Now, I may be getting into the realms of fantasy, here, but I was wondering if there is any way that a grass pitch could be laid over the 3G, leaving it intact and ready to go, once approved at some point in the future, but allowing the Club to meet the (likely) requirement to play on grass next season? If the grass pitch could be built inside a framework, could it even be removable - 3G Sunday to Friday, then the grass wheeled into place for Saturday? As far as I'm aware, the Conference rules just say that games have to played on grass - they say nothing about the fixed, or otherwise, nature of the pitch. Er yes fantasy and in a word no. Very compact stadium with no area to wheel a pitch in and out unless it could float on the river medway for a week at a time. 3g or bust

If we have to stay in the Ryman Premier so be it. We spent more years than we wanted to in the Kent League because of various off the field as well as on the field issues. The only other option is to ground share for league games and keep the Gallagher for cup and youth games and renting out until the rules change. Think how daft the football authorities would look if they made us play Conference South games at someone else's stadium? A daft solution perhaps! Ha! Also I wonder what Conference sponsor Skrill's position is on tomorrow's vote? Wouldn't they like a high profile club like Maidstone in their league to help with their marketing???

I see Tony Burman has now come out in disagreement www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford_messenger/sport/burman-3gs-great-but-grass-11911/Interesting points, but same old argument: "I think there's enough technology and enough ingredients to get pitches right"......."There's something wrong with our pitch at the moment" "would you have seen a better game on 3G?".....you mean something like the 9 goal thriller at the GS? (not to mention the fact so many other games were postponed) "I love 3G, but still think it should be played on grass at the highest level"....The Conference is the highest level?....since when were we pushing for 3G to be used in the Prem?....we don't need to higher than that as it's already accepted. If Dartford council decide to use taxpayer money to build a great ground AND 3G training pitch next door to bankroll the club then I don’t think they are in any position to dictate to other clubs about economic stability.

Can't help feeling that the clubs coming out against 3G are those most likely to feel the effects of a resurgent Maidstone. Both Burman's and Parmenter's arguments defy logic so the only explanation for their stance is the fear of being overtaken by a local rival.

Interesting as well that neither Dover or Dartford have played on our pitch, I wonder whether they may be sulking as we haven't invited them ! Interesting post on the Angels forum insinuating that Frannie and Worgs would want the vote to go against us as they had taken voluntary relegation from Conference South. Games falling by the way side as I type, I look forward to the same anti 3G brigade complaining about the fixture pile up
