Are you the peoples front of Maidstone? F#*king spliters. Anyway, what did oliver ash ever do for us? Apart from roads, sanitation, a stadium in Maidstone, a futuristic playing surface and the benefit of his French business connections, what has Oliver Ash ever done for us? :-D Well, yes, apart from those, what has oliver ash ever done for us...bloody Romans.

Bryan, In season 1898/99 both ourselves and the Royal West Kent Regt. were in the Kent League. Would our away game against the regiment have been played at James Whatman Way?
(i.e. would our first competitive game at JWW have been somewhat earlier than 18/09/2012 vs Walton & Hersham)

I have been looking in to this very same question myself and the simply answer is I have no idea cos there no mention of the location of the RWKR's pitch. However, I do know that the area no known as The Gallagher Stadium used to be the Barracks parade ground and then a rugby/sports ground during the 1980's.
On a similar vein, does anyone out there know the exact location of our original ground at Postley Fields, which was lost circa 1905?

Am I missing something - how can 7 goalscorers be a new club record if we had 8 goalscorers in the 1900 game?

Am I missing something - how can 7 goalscorers be a new club record if we had 8 goalscorers in the 1900 game? Because technically we aren't The same club anymore??

Technically I'm not the same supporter I was 30 years ago either.
But that's just as much bollocks.
