In answer to the question posed about the number of different goalscorers in a single competitive game, having scoured the club records (going back to 1897) I can confirm that yesterdays 7 goals by 7 different players is a new 'club record'.
In 1900 we had 8 goalscorers in an 11-0 victory vs Swanscombe and in 1922 7 goalscorers in a 9-0 thrashing of Tunbridge Wells, although one of those was on own-goal!
In more recent times, in 1993 we had seven different goalscorers in our 10-2 victory over Greenways Reserves in the Kent County League.
Impressive as yesterdays performance was, we have bettered it on 89 previous occasions with these 4 games being our best ever wins...
4/10/1952 - Chislet Colliery - Welfare Kent Senior Cup 12-1 (home) 6 goalscorers 26/3/1994 - Aylesford - Kent County League 12-1 (home) 6 goalscorers 8/12/1900 - Swanscombe - Kent League 11-0 (home) 8 goalscorers 12/4/1902 - Dartford - Kent League 11-0 (home) 5 goalscorers
Oh, and as a challenge for Jay and the team, in 1907 we scored 7 or more goals in three consecutive games - now that is a record worth beating!

Thanks Bryan, I've always wanted a history lesson on Maidstone United in the 1900...I feel like I'm such a better supporter than what I was.

Are you the peoples front of Maidstone? F#*king spliters. Anyway, what did oliver ash ever do for us? Apart from roads, sanitation, a stadium in Maidstone, a futuristic playing surface and the benefit of his French business connections, what has Oliver Ash ever done for us? :-D
