No doubt NWS will tell me I living in a fantasy world, but I didn't think we played badly today. Hit the bar twice and Frannie, Flish and Zac all went close. Let's not forget we were playing a team that hadn't lost in the league since November.

In my opinion, we dominated the game today but just couldn't score. Last season Millsy's thunderbolt would've gone in, today he struck the bar. Charley did well in first half but was denied by the keeper, we hit the woodwork at least twice today but it just wouldn't go in. The Met were looking for a draw, at 0-0 they were playing 5-3-2 with wing backs who were being pushed back. At 1-0 they went 4-4-2, caught us on the break and then reverted back to 5-3-2 straight away. The Met were well organised and very physical (just like their professional colleagues), we are struggling from a number of injuries and this means we do not have a consistent team selection which is never a good thing. The fact of the matter is, despite all of the above the team is in second place with a number of key players to return.
Oh and for the guy who keep shouting abuse at "number 7" today in the stand, his name is Charley Robertson he's a good young kid from our academy and he doesn't need a barracking from a numpty who obviously is such loyal supporter that you don't even know the names of the players you are supposedly supporting! Mug!

Draw a fair result IMO. We huffed and puffed but didn't really do enough. Agree that the ref missed some blatant stuff in the box and they were able to break the game up with niggly fouls. You notice Phillips and Brown more when they don't play as they just link things better than the others. Thought Parkinson Jnr had a poor game distribution wise and needs to calm down and give it simple as well as learning to overlap and stretch the play on the flank. Mind you Parkinson Snr seemed to give it away repeatedly in the first half so maybe it was a cunning plan to lull them into false sense of security. When he calmed down and started keeping it better it became a stalemate really. I did think they were quicker to everything today, they closed down better than us and doubled up on Charley to keep him quiet. Still we're in with a shout and we still have 3/4 of fist choice midfield and 1/2 of first choice defence missing.

I thought it was a good game to watch and quite entertaining and the ref tried to keep the game flowing, although the Met at the end were good at the gamesmanship and slowed it up a bit. That said we should have wrapped it up in the first half. We were caught on the break and the Met got a soft equaliser. Some one in defence should have been more aware that this would happen. I'm not sure we could complain at the result if the Met had put one in at the last knocking a of the game. As said above the opposition certainly up their game when playing at the Gallagher on 3G. Still we are still in contention. COYS

Sorry for the new account my old one says password is wrong for some reason. I agree with most of the comments about it being an entertaining game, as i said last week and others have stated every team coming here its like a cup final and make sure they stick everybody behind the ball but after all said and done we had some great chances today with Frannie and Charley and Flish was causing there RB loads of problems. Yeah we have players out injured but to be sitting 2nd in the league is great at this stage and I'm a bit fan of the youth and though D Parkinson & Charley was good today. Agree J Parkinsons passing could have been better but he was one of not to many in the 1st half at least wanting the ball and was very good in there with Fabio on tuesday night and still broke up a lot of play today. Hopefully now with few more coming back from injuries we can still give it a good push and end up around there at the end of the season Stay positive COYS

I thought we played OK today and deserved to win it. However, we never really took the game by the scruff of the neck in midfield and that nmeant that MP were always in the game. Our attacks out to the right were always slowed down when the ball went to Charley because he is not a winger and his lack of pace means he cannot take players on. Despite this he did hit the bar and win the penalty. We needed to mske out substitution earlier t allow Browny chance to take the midfield by the scruff og the neck

I turned up late (again) so missed most of the first half. Good to see so many in when I got there though. The problem we have is that most teams just sit back and then try and hit us on the break - and it works for them at almost every one of our home games. Some of the decision making at times is questionable but credit to the lads for trying to play through the opposition. On another day we would have taken all 3 points but these draws at home are costing us now. Its difficult, frustrating, I mean, throw everything at em for the last 10 and then lose to a soft goal. Better to take a point. I think Phillips might have just made the difference however. Robertson in my opinion is a great prospect and shows touches of quality way beyond his years. The boy has a big future. Regarding the ref. Don't think it would have made a difference but his time keeping was a disgrace.

Or did you film all of the game and re-watch it this morning?

Very confident pen from General FranCo! If i was to pick out areas of concern from yesterday there was a couple of occasions where communication could be better a few times when we had two players colliding on the ball. Defensively i thought inexperience and the occasional head rush are our biggest issues at the moment. In the second half Sobers found himself being turned inside out while playing / covering right back which no one would be surprised by. All in all it was a good performance. The Met are not muggs!

I thought we played well at times and controlled the game, great penalty from Frannie, pity we gave such a soft goal away especially from our own corner, there were a few in the Townend who had a sense of the inevitable when the Met counter attacked us and we conceded, that goal knocked the stuffing out of the team, the crowd were very vocal and tried to roar the team on but to no avail, am I happy with where we are in the league of course I am and would have taken this all day long at the start of the season, my only disappointment is how far we could be ahead in the league if we could have turned some of the draws into victories, I know what you will say that some of those draws could have also ended up in defeats, i still believe we will be in the mix at the end of the season, I just wish we could play with the same freedom at home that we do away.
Highlight of the day, the song sang to the Police, they shoot who they want, it did make me chuckle
