Nice to see the Kids - 'The Stones' future featured on the Web Sit for a change. Really looking forward to all the negative posts from those that didn't go and support them !!!!!!!!

I don't go and watch them play at all. I do how ever have to say that when they play for the first team I have been very impressed with all of them. We have a very, very good set up there and some very promising lads coming through.

Has one of the academy lads, Josh Woolley, been called up for the England school boys?
So we can't put him on a contract and any other team higher up the pyramid can help themselves?
That said, massive congrats to Josh

Seem to remember Bill once telling me that boys (under 18 I think) in full-time education cannot be put on contract.
Sure someone will come on here and clarify

Am sure that was the gist of the message you pasted from Darren after the Chris Smalling debate

What? Surely some of them are total wasters (ie typical teenagers) who left school when they were thirteen to sign on?

Apart from all that - is it not a positive that Jay has taken over the Academy ? Should be good for snow clearing

While I can't say I see many u18/u21 matches, those I have been to are thoroughly entertaining games of football, well worth the evening out.
I would recommend if you get the opportunity, go to a game or two.
Don't be put off by the "only reserves " naysayers, take a look and make up your own mind
