We dont need to stoop to their level,we can deal efficiently with large crowds at the Vale, same as Saturdays trophy game will be fine
I think the segregation is management of a crowd. Maybe you should consider that it is not the large part of the crowd that needs to be managed just a very small part (around 1/20th). Anyway, I hope the game passes off peacefully, whoever wins and segregation can be a one-off.[/quote]
Don't suppose the 'large' crowds of 500 are quite the same as stooping to crowds of our level!! It's a shame about the segregation but the club has no choice on this one, if they did nothing after the first time they would look stupid and be accused of not bothering.
Like NWS I hope it passes off ok tonight and segregation can be a one off, if nothing else so I can get my seat back!

Segregation is prudent for this game. Probably unnecessary, but that's not the point. I've been out of the loop for a while. I haven't seen a game of paid admission status since Maidstone v Luton three months ago, so I've no idea of the mood in the Wealdstone camp. I doubt if it's unduly antagonistic, in spite of some comments from some of the more house-trained and well-heeled Wealdstone fans on their forum. As I said at the time, there are probably no Wealdstone fans who go to Wealdstone games looking for trouble... but there are a hell of a lot who have a very keen nose for games when trouble is likely to come looking for them. They tend to gather in relatively large numbers for such encounters and need very little provocation to entertain themselves with a bit of a barney. I'd imagine the likelihood of disturbances tonight is small. However, it would be wise to prevent contingents of ne'er-do-wells making masturbatory gestures at away fans from near the demilitarized zone. The August game should've been segregated - mainly because MUFC has understandably attracted lots on new fans, these inevitably include a small contingent of scallies and the club can't reasonably have been expected to know who those scallies were after 12 months in which opportunities for misbehaviour were almost non-existent. As has been said, tonight's game provides a good opportunity to have a low-key dryish run at segregation procedures that may well be necessary a couple of time a season when the club goes up to Connie South and beyond.

However, it would be wise to prevent contingents of ne'er-do-wells making masterbatory gestures at away fans from near the demilitarized zone. Hmmm, that's not a word you see very often on this message board. Had me worried for a minute, I thought it meant a deep sea fish

Always a pleasure to have one of the true greats of Ryman forums on here. I'm a little disappointed that the post was so reasonable but still a pleasure nonetheless.

Not quite the same thing as said on Wealdstone's forum!
Well its up to MUFC to control our numbskulls & Wealdstone to deal with its away fans & reptuation as it deems fit.
