Went to their ground on Saturday and had no grief from anybody, I think people are looking for a problem which won't happen, the segregation will make sure of that

I bit over the top I think as I doubt they will bring more than 100 for a Tuesday night FA Trophy game, there were only 400 home supporters for the game at Wealdstone! Still better safe than sorry I guess, I'm sure it will pass off without incident.

It's a great pity that segregation is considered necessary .Post match myself and Big Mick and other Stones fans enjoyed the company of some Wealdstone supporters only a few a moronic plebs ,then again we have are own supporters who fall in to this category .

If there's trouble, segregation will look very wise. If there's none, it'll be a useful practice run, see how the logistics work. Segregation might be needed several times a season or even every home game in the future.

As Eclipse has said i cant see us bringing more than 100 tomorrow at the most,as far as segregation goes this a great shame especially after Saturdays game went off without any incidents and quite a few of your supporters enjoyed a beer or two with us and are looking forward to coming back on the Saturday before Xmas. To the Maidstone fan who was going to leave his kid at home please bring him along and let him witness what is sure to be a great game of football. Looking forward to Battle of the Stones Game 3 and may the best team win.

Not the greatest of photos I'm afraid, from the orange bit in the middle to the red&white tape nearest is what wealdstone have. Complete overreaction IMO.

People are missing the point. As a result of the drunken hooliganism of the first match certain fans with young children will not come anymore.
The club have to nip this c**p in the bud.

Well said, although at first I thought it was a joke having segregation its what they deserve after the first game of the season.

I'm amazed, after all the c**p the club and the stewards got after the first game of the season they now decide to segregate for every ones safety but still some people don't agree and think it is OTT. What are they supposed to do, turn a blind eye and hope it doesn't happen again or be pro active and ensure that it can't happen. As for supporters getting into the wrong end, yes it may happen with one or two but they will be moved. Hopefully the game will go off without a hitch but the club will learn from this as we may have to segregate at other times.

Nothing to be amazed about, you can never please everyone and the club were in a catch 22 situation...damned if they do damned if they don't. My personal opinion is if the ground is properly managed and policed (as at Wealdstone as our staff witnessed) then segregation would not be needed...however I can see why they've done it and just hope it doesn't lead to raised tensions aa after the game - once we've won obviously.
I also hope it's a one off for the forseeable (which it should be) as one of the things I like about football at our level is being able to walk freely around the ground

What choice do we have? I think it's a shame we are having to bring segregation in but going forward we will have to employ it more and more. The club have consulted the relevant authorities and the most approriate action is to not risk any repeat of what happened in August.
With regard to the 25% we are setting aside for the Wealdstone fans, isn't that a stipulation by the FA as well? I remember in years gone by Arsenal had to give up the whole of the clock end (ie 25%) for Chelsea, and I believe the rule still stands regarding the proportion of the ground given to away fans.
The FA are pretty rigid on rules regarding alcohol, 3G etc etc.....so I imagine they are just as rigid with the rule regarding away fans.

Here is what Curtis had to say about us on his own forumRe: Segrgation @ Maidstone United by Curtis » Mon Nov 04, 2013 8:21 pm We dont need to stoop to their level,we can deal efficiently with large crowds at the Vale, same as Saturdays trophy game will be fine I think the segregation is management of a crowd. Maybe you should consider that it is not the large part of the crowd that needs to be managed just a very small part (around 1/20th). Anyway, I hope the game passes off peacefully, whoever wins and segregation can be a one-off.
