The Wealdstone fans put our lot to shame, proving it's not impossible to make noise travel and there was only 50 of them there

Thats the loudest I've ever heard that end of the ground, shame it took a only few away fans to do it.

I rarely heard a thing from TGFITW, and when I did it wasn't anywhere near as loud as the away lot. I've always blamed the terrace style and thought the sound just went straight "up", but the away fans last night disproved that theory.
As a sidenote - drinking lemonade whilst watching football - a first for me - and one I am not looking forward to repeating v Eastleigh

Thought young Charlie played really well, let's hope he gets a run in the team now. Agreed, MoM for me. He kept it simple and played all his passes to feet, rarely failed to find a teammate, wasn't knocked off the ball, and was an example to Flish in particular whose passing was wild all night. I felt Wealdstone deserved to win on chances created, and they were more comfortable in possession - the phrase smash n grab is what came into my head at the end.

hammerjay, don't end up in dark corners with Roysty. Gawd knows what could happen. Seriously, if I had known it was you I would have stopped and chatted for a bit longer

Sorry headstone I disagree, a perfect example of smash n grab was our game at Canvey Island.
I agree Wealdstone created a lot of chances, but so did we, in fact I'd even go as far to say we created the better chances. I remember at least 3 occasions where the ball flashed across the face of the Wealdston goal and somehow neither Frannie or Zac could apply the finishing touch.
Both on Saturday and last Frannie missed a number of chances you would ordinarilly expect him to put away, not to mention the penalty.
Interestingly on the Wealdstone forum they are talking about their managers preference for using experienced players over youth and they are worried about their youth not being given a chance.

Indeed, neither a "la" nor a "choo" to be heard.

I noticed the plod keep the peace in amongst the vol-au-vont crew. They must have been tipped off. Or it was free tea?

My man of the match would be Charley Robertson, who played his heart out and made some fantastic runs, his crosses were also accurate, maybe he can give some tips to his more established colleagues.

For me, Charley to start again on Saturday, but more importantly, lets get him on a contract !
Quote from Alan Ainsworth:
"I cannot see how the hell Maidstone are top, very pretty and very impressive, but any Lowestoft team from the past three seasons would be expected to rip their heads off and crap down the hole, never mind the likes of Reekay and Hornchurch"

Anyone who went on the old Ryman forum will know AA has a fairly abrasive style, and talks crap about half the time.
