You'll notice that the highest posters have the most amount of absolutely nothing worth saying but need as many posts as possible to say it.

It's worth noting that some lower their 'real' post count by using various board names.

What would be the reason behind the need for a pseudonym or 'nom de plume' Adrian?

Some people like to annoy and wind other people up for the shear fun of it and to watch people bite!
It doesn't take long before you get found out by someone though.
Its the same reason why some people thrown grammatical and spelling mistakes in as well.
Keeps the grammer Nazis busy

What would be the reason behind the need for a pseudonym or 'nom de plume' Adrian? Some people hide behind them to be rude/offensive. Some people use them to make out they don't post as much (not sure why they are that bothered about it but that is their choice).

The grammar nazis with their signatures about you're not your etc are always on hand to sort out the spelling mistakes and grammar.

Look at you insulting people with more than one account calling them animals. Your standards are slipping!

There, I have put it in some punctuation so the plebs (as you call them) might understand.
