There is an article in todays non-league paper with the Stones first year profits being published. In the article Oliver says that more clubs should be more transparent with their books. It goes on to say that the Stones had a turnover of 1.1 m, with first year profits of £180, 000 after depreciation (£260, 000 before) We earned £110, 000 from rental of the 3g pitch. I think, as I have said before, that a lot of clubs are watching to see how we do off the pitch.

Not seen the article, but isnt Maidstone United football club a different company to Maidstone United stadium?
Interesting to see figures for both if there?

A review of accounts data "in the public domain" ( i.e. available via Companies House ) reveals the following:
a) There are three corporate entities involved, Maidstone United Football Club Holdings Limited is owned 50 / 50 by Mr Ash & Mr Casey. This Company, in turn, owns 100% of Maidstone United Football Club Limited and 100 % of Maidstone United ( Ground ) Limited.
b) Latest filed documents are for the year ended 30 June 2012.
c) There is a limited amount of data which "small" entities have to disclose, but we can see that:
> At 30 June 2012 £ 1,878,457 had been spent on the Ground.
> At 30 June 2012 the Companies owed in total £ 1,069,900 to Mr Casey & £ 1,030,000 to Mr Ash.
So at the very least supporters of Maidstone United should offer thanks and adulation to these two fine fellows for "putting their money where their mouth is" and backing the club to such a huge personal extent. People moaning about the cost of burgers ought to bear this in mind......................

I just hope the rent for the burger van pitch (which I imagine goes to the Ground company) is high enough to warrant the food prices!

Gratitude to the owners does not extend to paying over the odds for poor quality food.
There are plenty of ways to make your hard earned money to go direct to the club coffers.
