Fisher looking to move back to their old ground with the intention of installing a 3G pitch, stating that Maidstone United are the perfect example of how to make the pitch work in the community.
I can't help thinking that all those who mock our "plastic" will decline rapidly through pure ignorance of the benefits, I suggest they enjoy cigarettes and chewing gum while they can.

Yes although there is a lot of resistance and snobbery out there about 3G pitches, I think a lot of clubs have looked at how Maidstone have used theirs to the maximum in order to increase revenues and community use and realised this is indeed the way forward for themselves. These pitches are a major leap forward from those of the 80's, can see the Conference accepting them when the Stones start knocking at the door at the end of this season.

Or before then if Sutton United get their way! Sent from my GT-I9000 using proboards

Yep Sutton, Merthyr, Harlow all laying / planning 3G. We're by no means alone in this any more. I remember Accrington and Wycombe bothe expressed interest but no idea what that's lead to.
