Does anyone know how many Cups and Leagues the various Maidstone United teams have won this season?

From the youth section:
U13 Central: Kent Youth Cup runners up U14: Kent Youth League South and Kent Youth Cup double U15: Kent Youth League South winners U16: Kent Youth Cup runners up U18 South: Kent Youth League South runners up U18 Premier: League Cup winners and John Ullmann Memorial Cup winners (including beating Gillingham in the semis). Their league season hasn't finished yet and they will more than likely be facing VCD on Thursday in a 1st vs 2nd title decider.
Of course the real success of these teams will be judged by seeing how many players make the step up to first team football either here or at a good level at another club. Players who have made the step up from the Under 18s to first team football last year include Alfie Pavey, Dan Johnson and Jack Sullivan.

I know that JT - that was the reason for the question!!!
Thanks Ohrururuwho ? for more positive statistics. Do they include all The Academy honours at U18 ?
I agree with your ' real success ' point as to how many players actually step up to the first team. A lot of Football league teams are doing away with their Academies for financial reasons , which in the past has produced some great players. Not The Stones !!!? Maidstone United , an Amateur Club, ? Has over 40 teams and at whatever level or disability seem to be producing some more ' Great Players ' from all the Kids? Alfie, Dan and Jack sound like great prospects. It would be great to see more video highlights of some non 1st Team Games.
MUTV -
Get The Kids on Board!
Just a thought.

Well that is an answer to AdO 's point about how many kids can step up I guess. Good luck to Alfie at The Den. Perhaps one day talented kids will stay at The Stones Academy, play for the 1st team and then get their chance to progress for a Transfer Fee ? - of course!!
Just a Thought.

Is the silly ruling about being on contract and playing for England still in place, as it was that that stopped us having Chris Smalling on contract, I believe (unless someone knows something different). Such silliness does not help non-league clubs.

Why have an Academy and get rid of your best players ?

Are you saying we, as a football club, should have stopped Alfie progressing his own career in the game?

Yes.
As we should have done with the Premiership winning, England international, Maidstone reject Chris Smalling.

As above, at the level we are at you cannot hold back a player who has a chance of making a full time career out of the game. The academy can serve to produce players to help us progress and make us a transfer fee, but no way can we stand in the way of someone being offered a better football education

Good point Ant. Seems a pity to lose an obviously talented young player to whatever the rules ? Good luck to the lad - a lot of Stones Fans will follow his progress - I'm sure. You never know perhaps he will come back on a Free Transfer one day! Looks like Jay has it covered with his a new addition to the Pee Wee Team though ?! Do we have a name for the new signing yet? Does he have anymore new signings in the pipe line as of yet ? Just a chuckle!
