See The Mead won promotion via the play-offs yesterday.
Bayliss Avenue is going to come as something of a culture shock to any supporters who haven't been there before - who remembers the burnt out car in the car park from our Kent League days?
Anyone know if their spangly new main stand is up and open yet?
And of course there's the 'elephant in the room' that we are frowned upon for mentioning, but it'll be good to meet up with him again.....

I will never get used to the stench of filled nappies.

A walk from Abbey Wood station to the ground will take you through the Thamesmead estate . For those that do not know , the backdrop for the film Clockwork Orange , Locally considered a documentary .
TOPTIP However strong your need for beer may be avoid The Bargepole !! The Abbey Arms by the station is interesting thou on are last visit someone (another man) tried to kiss Big Mick !!!!!

God foresaken hole, with a bit of a walk from the club house to th pitch. Haven't seen the new stand yet, but the ground certainly isn't on the top 100 list of grounds I'd like to visit again.

Someone must really regret not just building a new stadium in Maidstone several years ago.

so is that 2 Kent derbies for us next season then, Thamesmead and Margate?
with Mead moving up from R1N, will Erith & Belvedere, as winners of the Kent league take their place, or maybe with R1S & N expanding to 24 clubs next season, would they and Chatham stand a better chance of being in R1S, which would be great news for both them?
would assume that Hastings and Carshalton who've both been relegated from the Ryman Prem will slot into R1S, also heard that Guernsey have applied to join R1S too, assuming they gain promotion from CC Prem

All the above seems right to me - Guernsey needing a 4th win in 4 days today to seal their R1S place

Thamesmead , Cray , Don't ever think a visit to any club will be your last . They can always crop up again sometime in the future
