Well done to Jay and the lads. They had a huge weight of expectation on their shoulders but it didn't show and it was a superb measured controlled performance. Surprisingly the Fav looked overawed by the occasion despite winning here a few weeks ago. Hard to single anyone out, but Mickey Phillips & Addy were monsters and dominated their area of the pitch.
Brilliant to now go and bask in the summer knowing that the Stones will be home again next season and we'll be back again bigger & better.
Happy, happy days

A fantastic day and a top night VIPing it with the lads and the "official club photographer" (Shatty). Great way to end the season, roll on the party next week and then a couple of months detox until pre-season starts. Thanks to all involved

Glad to see you'll be joining the Hamlet in the Premier Division next season. I've never been a fan of the play-offs, and looking at the top of the league table it seems as if you've had to win promotion twice, but at least you're there now. Last time you went up six years ago I guess you weren't really geared up to thrive at that level, what with sharing at Sittingbourne and the new ground still on the distant horizon, but it should be a lot different this time. You're already the best supported club in the entire league by a long distance, but it's got to be especially rewarding for the 300 or so fans who kept going through the uncertain times at Sittingbourne and Ashford. (I can't think of two less appealling grounds or towns to share at.)
We lost the last two play-off finals away to clubs that finished above us, but it was worth it to finally win promotion on our own ground, whether it was as champions or via the play offs. Nothing in football beats that!

Pink it will be great to come back to Champions Hill next season, it was probably the best away game I went to last season

Fantastic performance yesterday. Totally dominated from start to finish and great atmosphere again in the Town End especially after the third goal where it was just a case of staying on your feet whilst everyone went berserk. Great fun. Makes all those trips to a cold Bourne Park on a cold winters day/night completely worth it.
One thing I can't help thinking though. The 2300 odd capacity is a farce. There can be absolutely NO justification for calling that capacity when the Springfield end was about a quarter full on the second half. It's a ridiculous rule that has to be reversed. Was it the council that decided on it? It sounds like a council rule to me.

Agree with daveu. Presumably mixed emotions from Aaron, Lyndon, PK and Danny in the Faversham team. It looked like Lyndon was happy that Faversham lost.

Last time you went up six years ago I guess you weren't really geared up to thrive at that level, what with sharing at Sittingbourne and the new ground still on the distant horizon, but it should be a lot different this time. Last time we went up it took most people by surprise, having only been promoted from the Kent League the season before. I expected us to come straight back down and we would have if not for the last-day win at Folkestone. As you say, things this time are very different, and we should hopefully beat our record league position (15th in Isthmian Premier) next season. I agree with antstone in that I found the playoff final and even the celebrations something of an anti-climax. Maybe because the game was so one-sided, or the fact that I've seen us win this division before, or because I instinctively prefer the "party on the pitch" style celebrations to the more stage-managed variety, or because I'm a miserable sod, or most likely a combination of all the above!

Nigel the Springfield end was half full yesterday during the 2nd half but the town end was rammed, what we need is the town end expanded to increase the sight lines and with that maybe the capacity will be increased, I have to be honest we could squeeze more into the ground but I wouldn't fancy standing 5 or 6 deep around the ground where would the fun be in that watching the back of somebodies head whilst young kids would see nothing

Thought the team played really well yesterday with no sign of nerves, the town end was in great voice and a word for the main stand supporters, great support from them too, all round brilliant day!

I feel a bit let down, I was so nervous before the game as playoffs are meant to be nervy, exciting affairs. That was just so easy, well done to one and all I for one am immensely relieved we put on such a class show nice to avoid the nail biting Maidstone way for a change. That performance was a masterclass i think we were so dominant all over the park that Faversham never really got a chance to get going. More our dominance than them not showing up. We ignored the physical side of the game kept our cool and murdered them with total football. The swagger was back shows what a difference there is when they feel free from the nerves. I think anything is possible next season as expectations will not be as high as they were this season and we can play free from the pressure that blighted some performances this season. Agree that Faversham as sportsman were first class at the end

I agree totally, but did you notice S K didn't play a part. I must add that Stubs has been a great addition to the team and at least shows he has pride and passion .

Stubbs has been a rock and put in some great performances at a crucial point of the season. Much improved player since his first stint with the stones.

Stuart King is a quality player ooodles of ability as is temp stand in Harley but however good they are they must also be a good fit in a team and im not convinced they will/did bring as much to our set up as we all hoped. Despite buckets of ability accomodating them in our side seems to destabilise us on occasion. WOULD LOVE TO BE PROVED WRONG

I would imagine Harley will be on a similar basis next season. Plus Jay said at the time that he saw him being an experienced head in midfield, but injuries in defence dictated this wasn't possible

Harley always looks involved and his class is obvious. He seems to be a team player. King is a waste of space not good for team spirit. His moods show all the time just like my second wife
