It's not uncommon for semi pro players to play for Sunday League sides. I think under Maidstone Sunday League rules, he would have had to have played in previous rounds to be able to play in a semi final so was probably already playing for them while he was at Margate. Either that or he is a ringer.

Yeah a few of the lads do. Stubbs plays most Sunday mornings for Larkfield and New Hythe. Alex Waugh plays for Penenden Heath. And i believe Dan Lye for East Malling. The standard has dropped over the past few years but still worth a watch.

Didn't realise. My son was playing an under 12 league match for Vinters Green against Staplehurst on the next pitch to that match. I would have taken more of an interest if I had known. Interestingly my son played a cup semi a few weeks ago and neutral linesman were appointed. For the Staplehurst v Langley game it looked as though the subs were running the line. For the record Vinters won 10-1 and my son scored the last goal so it was a happy afternoon for him and I.
Ps If anyone from Staplehurst is reading you shouldn't make an under 12s 11 a side team play on a 9 a side pitch. It made the game totally farcical from start to finish!

Either that or he is a ringer. But this was the reason Hume/Walker sacked Danny Kedwell, and he seems to have progressed OK.

Does anyone really care? Will it be on the back of Sundays nlp? No! Anybody think it was someone who's been with us for years and is really important! He probably was playing for a different Sunday side at the start of the season! Won't be are problem when he's somewhere else next year!

Kedders was 'under contract' when he was kicked out...(By Mal Watkins I think!?!),your supposed to only play for the wage paying club unless agreed by arrangement, not sneakily play on Sundays for your pub side!
Stubbsy isn't contracted...just signed onto the end of the season via Ryman League paperwork,if he gets injured we pay nothing....

He's currently a Maidstone player and this is a Maidstone forum, so I think you are not entirly accurate when you say nobody cares.

More hijacking, David?
He actually ASKED if anyone REALLY cares. Still don't let mere facts get in the way.

And then he answered his own question "No!".

Yes. he answered the question, 'Will it be on the back of Sunday's NLP?'.
In your haste to try and pretend the answering of a question different from the one you are claiming he answered is justification for your ridiculously rude retort you are also forgetting that he said, 'Does anyone REALLY care?'. That is different from, 'Does anyone care?'.
I am afraid you are wrong twice.
Anyway, now we have sorted out your rudeness to payno perhaps we can proceed with the discussion about players playing for Sunday sides.
