Eh? One of your most drug-ridden posts ever. CDG dictated the game throughout (apart from the ten minute spell where we scored 2) and created double the amount of chances we did. Earlier you asserted that it was pretty much all us in the second half. After we scored our two goals they took the sting out of the game and the crowd by spending long spells in our half of the pitch. Why not face up to the facts that CDG were the better side. They outpassed us, created more than us and it was only sheer spirit and determination not to lose that grabbed us a point. For most of the game we hoofed the ball up front and CDG dealt with us coolly and calmly. Some of their passing out from the back was excellent.

Total balls, mate. How many saves did Derren make? Apart from the two goals and the two admittedly glaring misses at the start of the second half I don't remember Derren making a save, while their keeper made two decent saves from King, quite apart from the sitter he got stuck under his feet in the first half. I admit CDG were the better side but we still had more shots on goal than they did.

what nws said. there must have been another stones v cdg game on that some people went to.... I was thinking exactly the same! Getting a point was a result, CDW looked the best footballing side we have been up against all season.

Yes okay but what extra does he give us ON the pitch??? What is it exactly that you don't like about him? You haven't had a decent word to say about him since he arrived. And when I answered your question with an answer you obviously didn't like you just asked it again. Adding the "ON the pitch" didn't change the meaning of the question so therefore it doesn't require a different answer. So who should I put my faith in, the manager who has us 2nd in the league or someone who isn't the manager and clearly has an axe to grind? Because there is no answer you must agree with me that he is at this moment he is the fifth best forward we have. I have nothing against him but lets face facts of the performances of all our forwards this season unless of coarse you have something against our other forwards,

King hasn't started the last few games and came on yesterday from the start alongside Shaun, which i think is the 1st time they have started together, it will take him and Shaun a while to get used to each other, i thought personally he did ok, but if he isnt getting the service then he won't score goals, lets get off his back

Everyone knows my view on King and I wasn't at the game yesterday so can't comment on that but totally agree with rootsy and OB1,and to b honest I'm not sure it's a personal problem with king it that he is the 5 placed striker and as we are well stocked for strikers the money should have been spent on clear areas that the squad is weaker I.e,goalkeeper an possibly left back cover or signing Whitely and as I've stated before as the club progress the management will have to use the fund more wisely

King is a good player and it is crazy to say he is no5 striker, what an absolute load of bollocks, he will form a good partnership with Shaun, let him and Shaun get some games together and then we can give a honest appraisal, one final point is and i don't think i am wrong here but any striker that was as prolfic as he was at Folkestone can't suddenly turn bad, we should be playing to his strengths

Or maybe he was happy at Folkestone and didn't want to leave?
To suggest that the team changes its style of play to suit a single player is the most ridiculous thing I have read on here. Were we not top of the league when he signed with two strikers scoring 10 goals each, another with at least half a dozen and another chomping at the bit to get an opportunity.
Whilst we are talking about style of play can someone tell Welford to stop taking long throw ins and get in the box. A short throw to set up a cross would be far more effective than throwing the ball straight back to the opposition.

Just because a transfer fee has been agreed that doesn't force the player to leave

Just because a transfer fee has been agreed that doesn't force the player to leave When a club has a £12k tax bill to pay before April? I think he was probably given no option.

Maybe you should give up the day job and maybe become a football manager or a pundit, then again i would stick with being a pundit because you really do talk some shit, we buy a striker who was prolific at his previous club and you say we don't build our team around him, lets give the lad a chance to settle into the club before we write him off, i don't like Draycott but i have stopped my comments on here about him as we should be supporting all our players and yes that means me cheering him when he came on against Crawley on Saturday, c'mon guys lets get behind the whole team and stop sniping at players

Fair point yes build a team around him, but don't do it mid way through the season. That's all I am saying.
