Time for a Bath

Stones have got a decent record against the Roman's who are definitely a stronger than average NLS team.
Twice in recent years Stones have managed to do the double against them and here's the thing.
In both of those seasons Stones got a promotion from the NLS.
Coincidence maybe, but in any case 3 points Tuesday night would be very welcome.
It may also quiet those doomsters and gloomsters who take any and every excuse to predict amageddon for our club.

Just popped over to see how Bath supporters view the fixture.

They are not happy bunnies at present and reckon Tuesday night is a must win for the club or the manager's head will roll.

Morale amount supporters is not good. Sounds familiar ?

Understandable as over their last six league games, they have drawn two and lost four, sitting next to bottom of that form table.
Stones meanwhile are second top, behind Weston.
Let's hope Saturday's shambles was a blip AND, that we find ways to score more than just one goal for a change!

Oliver ALWAYS speaks to me/us when we see him at games. He's very approachable and has never say's from the manner he wants to run his club- as a fiscal success.

Oliver will always respond to fair criticism. He only blocks people who start to make it personal or insulting. There are plenty among our fan base who can’t tell the difference between fair criticism and personal attacks.

How ignorant to say Oliver Ash is hiding in his family home.
France is where he has lived for as long as I have known him.
The guy is just so easy to approach and discuss Stones stuff.

Tbf it's hard to predict any Stones losses at the moment, given our league form.

Hopefully Saurday was a glitch and won't stick in the memory for too long.

Nobody should excuse what was a shocking performance.

A draw at Bath would be a decent result, 3 points and Horsham never happened.

Don't expect many goals in this one - in their 8 home league games they have only scored 5 and conceded 8

BetFred has us at 12/11 favourites with Bath well out at 2/1,the draw is your bog standard 12/5 but that maybe where the money is. The weather is set fair but could be well chilly so anyone going needs to wrap up warmly. I'm on a pessimistic mood at the moment,especially after Horsham,and I think we will struggle and lose. Although all I get to see are highlights at the moment I've not seen anything that I can call impressive and I'm a little ashamed after Saturday to even watch the highlights of our demise. I keep reading comments about playoffs and promotion but I'm sorry we look a mid-table team and nothing better. As for the 2,3 or 4 quality signings needed, dream on,it won't happen. Yes we'll sign them but unlikely to get quality just players that no-one else wants,journeymen looking for a good payday but not willing to earn it,we have plenty of them already . I was George's biggest supporter but it's beginning to dwindle but I don't know our budget so he may be doing quite well with no money to work with,only the hierarchy know the full facts,we never will. I'd like to look at the score at 22.00 and then wipe the egg off of my face but only 3 points will accomplish that.

Well here's hoping you get the chance to wipe the egg off your face.
I guess I get less frustrated than some cause I tend to take the long view.
It's all about where you finish, not how you started or even mid term.
Is is ridiculous to think that we could achieve the play-offs again this season ?
Not imo, after a slow start there has been enough improvement to suggest we could be on the cusp.
Nowhere near the finished article but nothing like no hopers that some supporters would have us believe.

If we had any other options and without last years cup run, "Tuesday night is a must win for the club or the manager's head will roll" may well have applied to us, but George is going nowhere as we cant get any better, hes a new manager finding his feet, we dont have the resources to give him the players he needs and hes doing well with low resources, and what about that cup run etc etc etc.

- But honestly, we really really need to get something from this game and play some football to keep in contention and to improve supporter morale. Please George. Please!
