I am aware that you have from time to time had a 'bit of a dig' about the way the club is run sword, but if this report is true, it is beyond the pale. It would be such a very, very bad decision, that I am still reluctant to believe anybody at the club could be so callous. Nobody except daveu has defended the club in any way and even he seemed to be saying that if it makes a few quid then that's fine. They can do what they like. No it isn't ok daveu, the club should be much more than just money and profits. It should have at it's centre, a heart and soul that cares for the community and supporters. How we treat and regard our disabled members matters. It says something about all of us. Well said. Who on this forum has any kind of real contact with anyone at the club to both verify the accuracy of this story and get a response from them to it? It can’t be true but it seems to be. In which case it would be heartless and demands an explanation. Or leave the smell and dissatisfaction to fester. I will always be grateful for what Oliver and Terry did for the club but they are way way past their sell by date now and we desperately need new owners with a real passion for the club who can restore us to a true family and community club again with a strong relationship with fans. Like in the 3in4 years. It’s difficult; if new owners with the right intentions actually made an effort to purchase the club or even existed T&O wouldn’t still be here. Until then you have to weigh up PR disasters against financial insecurities. It’s all well and good referencing a period of unprecedented success with continuity of players on the pitch as a catalyst for success off it, but it’s just the feel good factor that trickles down. If we were at the top of the NL I sadly doubt this issue would be as much a talking point as it is. What happens off the pitch seldom matters as long as the big no.9 sticks it in the onion bag. And that’s the sad reality of it all.

I personally think since the only man I trust Bill Williams has taken a very much backseat roll in the club due to fighting cancer that his day to day replacement be that Terry or Oliver or the new security t**t whose name escapes me is just utterly clueless.Bill is a legend but cannot fight cancer and run a club at the same time. Nobody else at the club had his pedigre and its beginning to show. The future does not look bright in my opinion.

If the choice is between getting the money to pay the players to take us up, or letting disabled supporters have a decent view of the game - in the dry.
Then f**k going up.

I àgree and we may well find out on Saturday that our current squad will be of no use in the league above anyway as Solihull could easily destroy us. They may not of course but only time will tell. The thing is about football at any level these days is its all about money and the authorities, especially at non league level, have let it get way out of hand to the point there is no turning back now and before long the NPL, SPL and Isthmian leagues will have to find huge budgets to pay greedy players or they will sink into oblivion. Walsall Wood fc have folded this week, who will go next week because the game is financially out of control.☹

Well I don't believe for a minute that the only choice is 'treat our disabled supporters decently' or save the money to spend more on players so we can get to the National League. Given the lack of explanation from the club it just begins to feel like someone has worked out that the club can sell more tickets in the MS to the able bodied, than they can to wheelchair users, who take up more space per person. Obviously you can make more money if greed is your mantra. And another thing, I would be equally concerned about this event even if we were top of the league.

Also, I don’t get why if disabled people want reserved seats in the main stand they shouldn’t pay for a main stand season ticket. Disabled doesn’t equal financially disadvantaged nowadays.

Check your facts daveu. Disabled people are twice as likely to be unemployed and government data provides all the stats you care to read about the pay gap. And that is just using the definition disabled not wheelchair bound.

You wanna bet. You try living on benefits that work out at 60% of minimum wage and they are trying to take that away from us. Stick to what you know about Dave and I hope you never find out how wrong you are.

I know an able bodied person who won a million quid on the lottery, which is significantly more than I have ever done.
But it is not really about financial comparisons, it is about providing good spectating and support for wheelchair users, including ease of access, suitable toilet accommodation and a decent viewing area in the dry.
Where there's a will there's a way, but I am wondering if there's a will !
