Is doing a great job at Tonbridge. I know it’s early days but 4th in the table? Mangles in the NL? Mmmmmmm I bet he doesn’t use AI and sports analytics! Just knows how to get the best out of players No I’m not campaigning Even forgetting any past experiences or burned bridges he probably wouldn’t touch us with a barge pole right now! Just saying

Why, exactly, are you "just saying "?

Nah. I love Jay but he's moved on and so have we. Him coming back I'm sure wouldn't be the fairytale everyone hopes it would be.
Tonbridge, as always, won't go up. We're 7 games in and its a long season.

I think bringing Jay back when the Clown fucked up might have worked (if the owners had been capable of eating that much humble pie). But too much has happened since, and I can't see Tonbridge still being where they are now after Christmas, let alone at the end of the season.
But (puts on B&A glasses), if he does do well with Tonbridge this season, I'd certainly be happy to see him have another go with us next season.
But then I'd like to see Flish and Mills back in the team too...

And the Mangles fans still do not rate him calling him one dimensional. Tonbridge cannot afford to go up just yet but with crowds increasing and revenue building it will not be long before they can. Should they manage to go up they would need to spend money on ground improvements ,though not a fortune, but would likely come straight back down as like us they are just not ready.

Doing well so far. 7 games is a small sample size though.
The Tonbridge fan I know was moaning about him last year for his football being agricultural and the transfers but for the size of the club it’s been a good start.
Hak on the other hand is having another shocker. Out of the FA cup to leatherhead and not pulling up trees in the league.

Last year a lot of their fanbase were desperate for him to be sacked, they were moaning about his recruitment and terrible football.
Many Maidstone fans seem to forget just how bad we were in Jay's last year in charge, he wasnt sacked due to a bad few games he was sacked because we were shocking for nearly a year.
In his last 36 games in charge we won just 6 games, which included a spell where we went 17 league games without a win, very few managers will survive that.
Im glad hes doing well at Tonbridge, but whenever George leaves, we need to look forward, not back.

Hak on the other hand is having another shocker. Out of the FA cup to leatherhead and not pulling up trees in the league. Someone on Twitter was asking for George to be sacked and Hak to be bought back after the Chelmsford game. Think certain players PTSD would be triggered if that was announced...

But we also now know what was happening on and off the field with Jay that season and the awful lack of support he got from the club to keep us in NL. It’s good to see him on the up again.

Mangles are THIRD and only four points off the top. What are their fans saying about Jay right now?

Mangles are THIRD and only four points off the top. What are their fans saying about Jay right now? Any with sense will be saying 'we have 40 odd games left, having only played 8... let's see where we are come April' I'd hope... Far too early for any excitement. It's happening throughout the leagues: Brighton 3rd in the Prem, Sunderland 1st in the Champ, Heidenheim top of the Bundesliga, Eredivisie's European spots are total chaos, etc. St Albans bottom of the table and the three favourites for the league not even in the top 7 of the National South at the moment. Things will even out, it's a long season.

Things will even out, it's a long season. But we've played 4 times more games than the teams in the bundesliga they only played 2. The prem only played 3 games. Were 8 games in. Meaning its 30 odd games to go. Its the point of the season that means if we dont get our act together now, we can kiss goodbye to the chance of being champions

There is hope for a defeat season yet.
