With play off place assured, wonder how things will pan out this evening? Places very much up for grabs as players return from om injury and, you'd think, be angling for a new contract next season - whether here or somewhere else. Weymouth comfortably mid table. Their recent away form is 2-2-2, scoring four and conceding three, so not exactly what exciting then, but neither are we. Another 1-0? Maybe. Results matter most at this stage of the season, plus we need to avoid injuries and suspensions too. Team George very much defensively minded it seems. Just hope it is not a repeat of that Weston game.

Much as I'd like an exciting game of flowing football, with a dominant (one might even say, unstoppable) Stones easily winning 4-0, I will happily settle for the worst game I've ever seen and a 1-0 win.
All that matters now is ending the season 3rd or even 2nd. And there's nothing we can do to affect Chelmsford or Braintree, so we just have to win all three games and hope they slip up.
And, if there's one manager who can grind out three wins out of three at this point in the season, it's George.

SL broadcasting from the new black monolith - it's weird, not only hearing them a minute or two behind the action, but seeing them in real time as well!

Have to say I really like Sol. Has a bit more guile than the rest of our forwards - great to have him back for the run in & playoffs
Win tonight sees our total at least 3 more than the season we won the playoffs under Jay.

Really like the look of the squad now. Options upfront with different types of forwards, Corne in form and Klass looking like he can pick a pass, defence looking better with Raphe finding form. Hopefully we can continue and take this form into the playoffs

Another comfortable win. Sam and Raphe competing for MoM, both excellent. May still need to win next two matches to be sure of those 2nd and 3rd postions.

Results elsewhere confirm we will be a home for at least one play off tie, as we are unable to finish below 5th place. A minimum of one additional pie.
COYS.

Very professional performance. 2-0 up inside quarter of an hour and never looked like conceding. Nice to watch a game without worrying about your blood pressure. Brown was superb again but everyone put in a great shift and restricted Weymouth to a couple of shots from distance.

Great win. Got the two deserved early goals and then good game management kept the ball quite well and saw the game off comfortably imo.
Is it my imagination or has Raphe got quicker ? We weren't really troubled too much by Weymouth but a few times he made some great covering tackles/interceptions.

Have always liked him in the side, versatile, good in the tackle and reads the game well. Issue has always been staying fit and getting a run of games together. He’s doing it now and it seems to be paying off. One of the ones I’d keep for next season regardless of division.

Weymouth's new/old manager must have had a depressing evening though. George was grinning from ear to ear and practically skipping when he came off!
