Perhaps this question has been answered on a previous thread….but why is it that Radio Kent only ever get really excited about Ebbsfleet and the Gills?
I’m sure the commentator bloke is an Ebbsfleet fan?

Gillingham in Medway is no longer part of Kent but nobody has told Radio Kent that.

Radio Kent always have a commentator at the Gallagher for our home games. They nearly always have online commentary of our home games. They always interview George after home games. And the always talk about us and give out the team news before the game. Seems to me the coverage is pretty good. Of course they give more prominence to Gillingham because they’re Kent’s only EFL team, but I’ve never noticed a particular bias towards Ebbsfleet, other than Charles Webster being a supporter. If anyone has an issue with RK’s coverage it should surely be Tonbridge who barely get a mention.

Sometimes…….. Just saying It’s not really about wrong or right. I listen to RK on the way down on a Saturday and on the way home, and in my view we get pretty decent coverage. Gillingham get loads, especially post match when their supporters are all texting or tweeting about the game. Our supporters don’t tend to interact with RK so post match is dominated by Gillingham. |

In the 90s I visited Roker Park and saw a group of lads verbally abusing a radio commentator for preferring to cover Newcastle.
A complaint as old as time and maybe disproved by the fact he was working in their ground.

What's wrong with just listening to Stones Live?!! Their pre-match coverage is good (I listen on the walk down to the ground), and now they do the so-called 'hot take' after the game, you no longer get that awful abrupt end to their coverage. In an ideal world, there'd be a post-match programme of some sort, but that's a huge ask for a voluntary station run on a shoe string, especially for away games.
