We've had a lot bigger clear out than I expected. Offering Gurung another deal is the real surprise to me, with his terrible disciplinary record he seems a bit of a liability. He doesn’t pass forwards. Does the job he is in there for I guess. I suspect it’s a case of doing the job no one appreciates unless you’re playing alongside him. He is selected every week so shouldn’t be a shock. Also need to have a bit of home talent. Yeah bigger clear out than I thought too. Exciting,

Nothing quite like a social media bed wetting over players getting released.
Bone is the only real shock for me.
The rest have poor injury records or inconsistent performances throughout the season.
More surprised at Bivesh being offered a deal over any departures.

Exciting, Bivesh goes very much unnoticed in most games ( apart from when he’s picking up yellow and red cards and scoring wonder goals ) , he does the dirty work that the “flair” players don’t get involved in. Feel a bit sorry for Sam Bone always gave 100% but seemed to struggle with his fitness after picking up a calf injury prior to the Ipswich game. Interesting times ahead

For me Sam Bone is versatile and could still do a job next year. Not surprised though as he didn’t hold down a regular spot.
The players who have not been fit seem to have been dropped which is just how football works I guess. We have paid lots of wages to players over the past few seasons who have not played much.
Bevish can do a job at this level and I’m sure wouldn’t have stayed had we gone up.
My Biggest surprise is Raphe Brown, I didn’t get to that many games this season, but what I have seen of him I think he is too light weight and has Big mistake a game in him.
Covolan needs to be offered a Big chunk of change to stay, he is worth about 9 points a season with his ability.
Let’s hope George can get a core of players together before the last minute sign anyone job. Covolan was a rare exception to that last year.
Exciting times to come (hopefully)

I think some just do it to wind people up. However, anyone who seriously is in a George out brigade, can do one, their "support" ain't welcomed in the MUFC camp. I'm a bit disappointed by a few that are being released/leaving, but that's just football.
It's been an incredible season and nobody would of predicted some of it... George has something special about him.

Don’t know anything about football tactics or player selection and don’t care.
This is George’s decision; what his future prospects and pay packet depend on, so happy to leave it to him.
Going out on a limb here. We’re going to be in this league for a few years, but not unhappy about it.
Best of luck and thanks to all of those moving on.

George has certainly made some changes. Could be more too if players in the retained list deline a new contract. A shade surprised about Raphe Brown's inclusion, because his injuries have been as bad or worse than others who are being let go. Having said that I have always rated him, if only he can stay fit.

I wonder if Earle going means no sub goalkeeper in future? Always a debatable position on the bench - good to have an actual keeper available, just in case, but are they really going to be that much better than an outfield player on the very rare occasions they are needed? And that's one-fifth of the sub options used up.
Sorry to see Ezennolim and Reynolds go, as they were favourites of mine, and, I thought Chi had potential and Lamar could have been used more. Good to see Bentley given the Rolls Royce treatment... Otherwise no particular shocks given that we're staying in the NS (I would have expected to only see 3 or 4 retained if we were going up). Very sad to see all the loanees going - although, obviously, that's expected. It's perhaps a comment on the strange nature of this season (a great one, that didn't always feel like it), that this small group represents so much of the talent in the squad. I suspect it both reflects on George's pre-season recruitment problems, and his ability to chop and change as needed - and find some cracking replacements.
His first season was a roller-coaster ride, and I suspect the second one will be much the same!

The amount of people on social media moaning about Sol being let go is absolutely bizarre.
He spent most of his time with us injured, so how is it a shock that he would be let go?? George got this right, and I'm glad he's being ruthless in letting these type of players go.
Chi is another one who missed a lot of time due to injury, he played just 25 games in the league.
