Bruno Andrade was quality tonight best player by a mile ….get him signed George ! He did look good, but he's had a bit of a checkered history - he played for four clubs last season (Boreham Wood, Maidenhead, Chesham and Kettering), according to Wikipedia.

One thing I did notice about last night - for a 'friendly' it got quite physical/heated at times. Charlie Seaman, in particular, seemed to be involved in a few things. Does he have a reputation for that sort of thing, or was this just Larkfield making a point?

But then they’re managed by Micky Phillips and Danny Lye so par for the course I guess.

I was quite impressed with them - a long way short of our level, of course, but much better than I expected for SCEFL.

Certainly looked a decent side and wouldn’t be out of place in Isthmian Southeast

They might deprive Faversham of their expected promotion. 😂

Never say never, but - - -. I follow Scefl football a fair bit and expect the Larks to be looking up the table at clubs like Faversham, Lydd, Whitstable, Corinthians, Glebe and Bearsted. We shall see.

On the basis of tonight I think Lenny Holden looked the more assured. Neither really had a difficult save to make but Holden was directing the defence like a much more mature keeper. Having said that it was Alexis’ first game for a while so maybe still needs to build a rapport with his teammates We have a choice Lenny from Leyton or the French Connection.

I'll take Lenny from Leyton. I didn't realise the French were now arriving in dingies.

Our new, 'social media obsessed' goalkeeper is featured in this video, pretending to be a centre back in front of possible future England manager Eddie Howe...

Also, how weird does Eddie Howe look when he laughs? He looks like a puppet.

Trouble is friendlies for triallists are like job interviews. Once they have got the job and the fat pay packet they can relax and not put so much effort in. That could be why he had four clubs. Worrying that he couldn’t even stay at once great but fallen Kettering - don’t they play in a park now? If he is a shirker he won’t last Long with George.

After that its not great reading Bruno Andrade's career has gone right downhill since 2019, so I really don't know what to expect from him if we actually sign him.

I thought I'd look at Alabi's wiki. His only decent season was 23 goals in 58 appearances for Chester. Everything else is very poor. The real surprise was that he is TWENTY NINE YEARS OLD!!!!!! I honestly thought he was on his way out of the game, 35 and just slipped down the leagues as his body ages. That has blown me away.
