I noticed that the game against Dartford recently appeared to not be segregated on tv highlights. The games in the past between Maidstone and Dover were never segregated and I was not aware of any trouble with the fans showing mutual respect towards each other.I think Jim Parmenter has never forgiven us for the stance we took over covid funding and wants to make our experience as unpleasant as possible. The last time (in both senses of the phrase) I was there was well before Covid, and it was just the same then. I think it was all part of his idea that Dover should be an EFL club* - so he rebuilt Crabble to feel like one. (*To the newbie fan, and looking at modern-day Dover, this must sound pretty fanciable - and it was - even at their height (two seasons just outside the NL play-offs), they still only got half the gates we were getting.)

Never been to Dover, was thinking about going on Saturday. Is it that bad? They generally cram you in one little corner and leave the majority of the stand behind the goal empty so that their fans can change ends at half time. After you've clambered up the mud strewn hill to get to the away end you will physically searched, insulted and generally treated like shit. If you want something to eat then join a Q with only one person serving and by the time you get served it'll be half way through the second half just in time to see Dover score the only goal of the game to thoroughly ruin your day.At least there are a couple of good pubs to use before the game and the Dover supporters are generally good people and they only really hate Dartford and boy do they hate Dartford. Oh good. In spite of the hostility, I want to tick off Crabble as it's an away day I have never been able to manage. (Typically due to work commitments or a family event). I suppose for those of us that are travelling, it could be the last opportunity to take in those surroundings for a while.

Why do Dover hate Dartford so much? Perhaps both contest the "worst treatment of opposing supporters" derby. Dover's website states that it goes back to the 90's so I assume they had a number of promotion contests in that time. Still, it only comes across with the calibre of Maidstone v Ebbsfleet. Everything we are saying about the away experience at Dover may be completely true. But it’s also exactly what countless away fans have said about the Gallagher, with the addition of missiles and hoards of 14 year olds making wanker signs at the barrier. Still won’t be going, but we need to get our own house in order.

No point, especially when there was more of them than us.

Some of them seem more interested in imitating Premier League fans than supporting Maidstone United.
We must lose so much money from away fans avoiding the Gallagher, and home families who don’t want to be crammed in with the pretend ultras.

Given the age of the leader who encourages the teenage boys, maybe not. You just need to drink more beer and support Crystal Palace.
Anyway. Given this thread is now being quoted and analysed on the Dover forum, it will become a very weird self reflective interaction between the two sets of fans.
We do like you Dover, and have many happy memories of yesteryear.
We just hate your owner who built your stadium, subsidised the losses for years to keep you going, then trousered our covid money before becoming disillusioned with football.

The Dover fans that know me will be chuckling if some of their fans think I'm an ultra🤣 I can't go today anyway. Can you undertake your ultra-leader duties by phone🤣🤣🤣

You need to do some unspecified ultra stuff and look surly.
