Isn't the goalie the one Gravesend have dropped??? He is indeed. I think he was called up on the day the brought in his replacement. Yeah ... I don't think it's his first England game though, believe he has played for the 'C' team before!

You have to feel a bit sorry for Ebbsfleet's young keeper Brandon Hall though, second best in the league for keeping clean sheets and just been called up to the England C squad!

I object to Dave U getting rude about Ebbsfleet. Such idiotic and moronic comments should be left off this forum and he needs to stop calling me names. Very poor Adrian. Even by your standards that is the weakest windup attempt ever Yeah! .... whatever happened the fact remains Ebbsfleet are pulling further away from us! almost un-catchable now!

It is quite funny to imagine some Devon yokel saying in a drawl, "we don't get good footballers round these parts..." That part of South Devon is actually populous, with Plymouth, Exeter, Torquay and Paignton being large towns and there is a smattering of others (e.g. Newton Abbot) which are not small either. To say Torquay is in the middle of nowhere is inaccurate.Truro really is in the middle of nowhere and having seen what they can do this season with a part-time team, I think your argument wouldn't hold any water anyway. Is it? What is nowhere?MAN !!! Don't you listen to the Beatles?

One thing is for certain ... you can't run a full-time professional football club on gate receipts alone! Not even the Man U's or Arsenals of this world! You must have a very sound commercial backing, or a very rich sugar daddy to succeed these day's! Long term success depends on the quality of the clubs commercial management and this becomes ever more important the higher the level the club achieves!

Some of you have clearly got too much time to spare! God it would be tedium if I read every of these put together stats threads. Luckily, I have become adept enough to switch off quickly and not read them. There's always a first time for everything!

Managers and players up in Scotland are now moaning about 3G pitches www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35551542This type of thing really isnt gonna help with trying to get the football league to allow them This kind of stuff does make me laugh, like players never get injured on grass or turn an ankle on a rutted grass and mud pitches, there is no perfect surface. But then there again it's not your livelihood at stake, is it?

On the American TV News programmes last night they were saying they are about to stop the sale of new pitches in the States until full tests have been carried out, following an increase in cancer particularly amongst goalkeepers regularly playing on these types of surface! Seems they are taking it more seriously there!
