England C squad. Didn't even know that was a thing. What does it do? They generally play against other countries' non-league equivalent or sometimes under 23 squads. There was a time when England had an under 23 squad and under 23 internationals were a regular occurrence, but they seem to have been replaced non league internationals now.

Back in the old days....
I remember Altrincham being famous because they had so many England players. And then when Enfield joined the Conference, we were all in fear of them because, again, they had so many England players.
I always assumed that 'England' in that context meant there was a non-league England side. In fact I'm pretty sure I can remember reading a report of them playing an Italian NL side.
