At last weeks game I attended between Pompey and Orient, the Os fans had a song where they were imploring a player to stay longer.
To the tune of “sing hosannah” it goes as follows.
One more year, one more year, Darren Pratley.
One more year, one more year I pray,
One more year, one more year, Darren Pratley,
Playing football the Orient way.
Two more years, two more years, Darren Pratley
Two more years, two more years I pray,
etc etc
Now I may be alone in this but I think it would work well substituting “Darren Pratley” with “Elokobi” and “Orient” with “Maidstone”.
If I suggest it elsewhere it would get booed down by my “fans” but what do you gents and ladies think?
