Well it would seem our notorious hooligan element have not been forgiven for the mass punch up outside their bar last time we met and those going will be segregated well away from the clubhouse. For those that don't remember last time George Elokobi was subject to racial filth whilst the stewards stood laughing. Our fans shut him up and all hell broke loose. As for the game I'll happily take another point though all 3 is not beyond us.COYS!

I still have a picture in my mind of George rushing past me and leaping on to the picnic table while the idiot cowered behind security and was bundled into the bar. George in full war cry is a truly terrifying sight and it took the players sometime to calm him. I dread to think what he would have done to the idiot had he been able to catch him.

Having started the season with 1-0 wins at home to Yeovil and away to Welling, HH have since lost their next two 2-1 to Farnborough and Weymouth. Hence will certainly be looking to stop the rot. Our predictors seem to think we could do well this weekend, so let's hope for at least a draw. Four points from the next two games would be good.

Keeping a clean sheet tomorrow would be good.

Sounds good on SL. Can't argue with 7th place at HT, only 2 points off the leaders.
But, sitting here in Hungary (hiding from the 35 degrees outside!) it has to be asked why the football season starts in bloody August - the height of the holiday season?!
Presumably, it didn't matter back in 1890 something, when this was all started. But now it's madness to start something where the income is hugely dependent on attendances, at a time of year when you know you're going to be a large percentage down on the first half dozen games!
Maybe it doesn't matter to the big clubs, with their multi-million incomes from TV, etc, but, down at our level, early September to late May, would make a lot more sense.

But I'll take 9th and 4 points off the leaders as well...

The type of games we will hopefully turn into wins in the fullness of time.
We were the better side. Not the most explosive going forward but organised

What happened after the game? Why did Gavin have to be restrained? Why was Bivesh red carded?

What happened after the game? Why did Gavin have to be restrained? Why was Bivesh red carded? The Bivesh red is odd. I've not seen much of him, but the one thing I never expected from him was a red card. As for Hoyt, no player should ever need to be restrained. If you can't restrain yourself at this level, you should be back playing in the park. Totally unprofessional and pointless.

Bivesh went in for a tackle which resulted in both players crashing to the ground - the Hemel player reacted, and Bivesh was seen delivering an angry blow in retaliation. I have never seen Bivesh angry before - and seeing how he was still seething through gritted teeth long after the game, I’d be wary about wearing a red shirt anywhere near him for a few weeks. Hemel is coming to the Gallagher on 10th Feb - they had better hope he has calmed down a bit by then.
Just before the end of the match, Gavin went for a throwin, right by the Hemel manager and his dugout. Someone sprayed cold water at Gavin, who complained. That started a series of exchanges which overheated just after the final whistle. Almost every member of both whole teams were involved. George sprinted over to calm things down and we saw a spooky repeat of last year’s Elokobi charge - but calm it down he did, with the help of some officials and stewards.
The referee had no authority when things got heated, and managed to be looking in the wrong direction in most incidents - but no referee would have been able to stop the scuffle at the end. That said, he had a poor day for sure. He needs a new hobby.
Hemel fans and the Hemel dugout team get no welcome from me on Feb 10th. I realise Maidstone is not a thug-free zone (two Maidstone fans were fighting each other at one point - one was ejected and quite right too) - but the Hemel club should hang its head in shame.

Ahh it was a fight which led to "x" being ejected, wasn't sure, someone said he was trying to get over the wall onto the pitch after Bivesh was sent off. Our own fans fighting, so, so silly. I won't be going back there, both times haven't been pleasant.
