A chance for the team to redeem themselves, or proof to the doubters that the season is already going the wrong way? Don't do many away games, but Braintree was one a few years ago and came away unimpressed. So far, they have won one, lost one beating Truro 3-2 and losing to Taunton, or was it the other way round? Whatever, suspect the performance is as important as the result tonight. Another lame effort and the keyboard warriors will rubbing their hands with glee.

I wonder if we will be playing the long ball for 90mins again.

Absolute joke. Full time club and all we do is play long hopeful balls. Pass the bloody ball on the deck.

Tbh if the team resorts to long ball stuff, that will be the end for me.

Tbh if the team resorts to long ball stuff, that will be the end for me. Well we have been doing it all year, and both games this season.

Braintree being one of George's old clubs,in fact I think I remember him jumping the fence and shaking some fans by the throat,I would expect him to want to win at ALL costs. This could end up a cardfest including Reds. I thought about going but cannot rely on the trains plus its an extravagant use of money that I can ill afford to waste. I've predicted a draw and will take that but I have a tiny feeling we may just nick the whole 3 points. Cue a 6-0 drubbing.😁

The refs seem to be very keen to brandish the yellow cards this season so discipline will be important. Kicking the ball away, delaying free kicks and throws, questioning decisions and time wasting added to the cards for foul play mean that it is not only the "dirty" players going in the book.
I am in agreement with this approach as it is high time gamesmanship was punished and we see a full 90 mins of football. I think most of us would agree that Rugby has shown that the game is better for respecting the refs decision. How many times has mobbing the ref led to him changing his decision? The down side is that with an over officious ref a player could easily pick up 2 yellows for infringements that are not foul play and it could ruin the game
It will take the players a while to get used to this approach and I hope that our small squad is big enough to cope with that along with injuries.

Not going tonight: My usual crew are there but I couldn’t make it.
I’ll be listening.
Can see it being a physical battle

4 changes from saturday. Seems like we have no idea who to play where. You have to make changes after a defeat like that. It still feels a bit like ore-season though with chopping and changing. It’ll settle down when he has seen a few more games I hope

4 changes from saturday. Seems like we have no idea who to play where. George probably couldn't win with you whatever he did. If he hadn't made changes you would have said, well after losing 3-0 he has kept the same team, obviously has no plan to win! 🙄😄
