Hak is losing the plot re subs. Brought on two forwards when winning at Dorking..we lose..took off two of our best players today...they score and win. Still think we are staying up Steve? No..not after today if i am.honest. something needs to change.

As expected a few more 'Sack Hak' posts appear. Its just what happens when you lose a few. Whatever you think or say it won't change the players. They are Hak's team, mainly built on last season's championship winning team. Hak and Terry are on contracts to the end of the season. So are the players. There is no magic money tree or uncontracted managers with their magic wands coming in our direction to change everything for the better. Moan all you like if it helps you but it changes nothing. At present we look odds on favourites for relegation but nothing is certain. Get used to it, Hak and Terry are going nowhere.

Dont like this sack the manager malarkey. Hak did so well for us last season and deserves a full season chance imo. I agree there's no easy silver bullet to turn things around. Trust in Hak and Terry. If we get relegated then sure its disappointing but life goes on. Avoid relegation is a must for Hak and Terry, they know that.

Listened to Hak's post match interview. He talked of the fine margins and especially his injury list. 8 players of whom 5/6 would be in the starting line up. Desperate times. Sounds like we may see 2 or 3 new faces and soon. And he means players !

"Its just what happens when you lose a few."
When you lose a few?? we've won just 3 out of the last 23 games, this is more than just a few losses, we've been crap all season.
When people are paying 19 or 22 quid to watch this they have every right to moan or point out how the manager isn't good enough for this level......let's not forget he's been relegated out of this league TWICE!!

Very true and people have a perfect right to moan. But tbf, every coin has 2 sides.
As you say Hak has seen his teams relegated from this league a couple of times.
But in the interests of balanced reporting, it is only right to state that Hak has also experienced promotion from this league 3 times !

Decisions on management are not for this forum, but everyone is entitled to an opinion. For me, we still don't get the basics right: 1. First half, we kept trying to knock the ball up to Barham, who was alone against three or four defenders. Common sense says he had no chance. 2.Roarie Deacon is one of our few players capable of creating something in attack, but barely saw the ball and then had to drop to defence second half. 3. Why Galvin is the first player to be subbed is beyond me. Almost every game he is our best player. 4. Likewise, why take Lawson off, when he was also having a good game? 5. We still don't look threatening at either corners of free kicks.
I could go on...
Whether a change of manager would get more out of the current players is debatable. Our problems are rooted in poor recruitment and too many injuries. Still think our best chance of survival is to trim the squad and try to recruit be at least two quality players. Is Hak the person to do that? Not sure. I wish him well, but much now depends on how the owners see things. If they are happy to carry on and be relegated, fine. It's their call, but if they want to stay in this league, things have to change - money, personnel, or both.

Trimming the number of players aint that easy when they are on season long contracts.
Anyhow weve got 8 injuries at present !
As for more money and new personnel.
Well somebody rightfully said there's no money tree and without it forget the new signings.

To be perfectly honest I think ,financially,Terry and Oliver will breathe a sigh of relief if we go down because at the moment they are just chucking money down the crapper.

I didn’t see the Boxing Day match but was there today. Injuries and lack of ‘do-ers was clear, Jacks not played like he did last season and Christie is good on the ball but that final shot is just …predictable. Set pieces? Why do we always, no matter who’s the manger, cock them up.? As for replacing Hak, given how we dealt with that 5 years ago, I can only see that going one way and the Clubs numbers will suffer. As they did before when hoards of faithful were leaving in droves before the match was over. Even if the conclusion was obvious.

I think they want to stay up for a sporting point of view but, like you suggest, it isn’t the end of the world if we fall down again. They set a budget and that’s that. No gambles. Love it or hate it. It is what it is

I think we need to try and play a bit of football and bring in our better players into the game.
It felt like we started to do that a bit more second half. First half was laughable. I’d be interested to hear what they said in the BT studio about it and the fact that Barham is 5ft.
Looking at their side, they had a lot more impactful players. Pretty strong squad.
