Whats happened to the " Hakan out " brigade who brutally abused him earlier in the season?
He was hurt and very upset by the vile comments that were made about him on social media.
Hak is a consummate professional and passionate about the club.
Well done Hak on your achievements to date.

one or two of the most vocal ‘Hak out’ voices on the Facebook group are rarely seen at games these days

Waiting to come out of the woodwork the next time we lose a game probably!

To be fair, one or two on Facebook have held their hands up and admitted they were wrong.

Not sure what the purpose of this post is right now when everything is going so well. Let’s have an inquisition and retribution after promotion.

And in fairness to this forum, the criticism of Hak during the blip was by just a few supporters and not really ott. For a few weeks things were not exactly going in the right direction and there were plenty of fans who had hoped to see the team performing better. At our lowest point Stones had slipped to 10th in the league and confidence was seemingly on the wane. Lack of fitness of some important players didn't help the cause. Thank goodness Hak and the players were able to turn it around. In truth Hak had not had the time to build up too many credits to withstand setbacks, happily that has changed. Nowadays we have very much a united front with supporters overwhelmingly happy with what Has has achieved.

Not condoning the Hak out brigade but maybe that was needed to light the fire under a definitely underachieving boss at the time. Who knows where we would be now without the criticism he received, another month like October and he would unlikely not be here now. I was dubious about his ability but always said that he should be given to at least February to prove himself,he has.

I was absolutely Hakan out, and I'm happy to admit retrospectively it has panned out. However, I don't think you'll find much in the form of 'abuse' on this board and the period where questions were being asked was justified in my opinion: - We went on a 7 game run with no wins. 6 games in the league, 2 points from a possible 18.
- We scored just 2 goals in those 7 games and conceded 11
- We were played off the park by one of our closest rivals, Dartford knocking us out of the FA Cup and putting 3 past us
- We were not playing well. I went to all 7 of those games and we were nowhere near the concise unit we are now
I think those combined are more than valid for someone to be challenged and are based on performance. Don't believe anyone on here 'brutally abused' him in the slightest?

It was the same with Jay. The difference was perhaps the club reacted to the vocal minority and fired him :-)

Perhaps TG should post his comment on the facebook group, because Hak did not get abused on this forum.
Some criticism and some concern but the large majority of supporters wanted him to have more time to turn it around
AND HE DID !
Agree with daveu some of the Facebook stuff was poor, but best to let sleeping dogs lie imo.
Everybody except nobody is happy with Hak right now.

After the filthy disgusting personal messages I received a week or so back from supporters who have been watching this club for 10 minutes the Facebook page is history for me. I have left it. I will though remember those who opened their gobs and I will deal with them if they are man enough to say what they said to my face.

It was the same with Jay. The difference was perhaps the club reacted to the vocal minority and fired him :-) No, Jay got sacked because our results had been very poor for many months whereas the 'Hak out' period only lasted for a few weeks and was a knee-jerk reaction to a poor run. To say the club 'reacted to the vocal minority and fired him' with respect to Jay, is about as accurate as Putin's assessment that The Ukraine is run by Nazis. You've been a supporter of this club for decades, Steve - do you really think Bill Williams would be swayed by the supporters on such matters? Football is a fickle game. There is nothing unusual about a bunch of supporters turning on a manager quite quickly if results start to go south - it happens everywhere. At the time I remember my own stance was that they'd give him at least until after the Christmas period. Fortunately of course, we were back on track by the new year.
