Thought at one time 'Christ! didn't frenchstones burn her on a bonfire or something?' was never good at history though! Joan of Arc was a french freedom fighter fighting against the English. She was burnt at the stake on orders of a french bishop allied to the british. So in effect she was executed by us brits.

The inter marriages between the different royal families certainly blurred the distinctions of nationality. Hardly fair to blame us as a nation. Everything is the fault of the French 😏
