I went off to the lovely borough of Southwark today calling in at a few pubs en route,as you do,and at 13.30 decided to head to the ground but I was told there was no bar. I didnt believe this so I rang them up to enquire and it was true but the man on the end of the phone asked me what I drank and so I said I was on Stell Artois at the moment, he replied no problem I'll drive down the shop and buy you 4 cans ,is that enough?. And so I turned up at 14.15 and there he was with half a dozen cool boxes in the back of his Mercedes dushing out beer and taking money. I told him my name and what I drank and out popped 4×1pt cans of Stella, he said they were £5.50 from the shop but i need to make a little profit so how does £8.50 sound. Just over £2 a pint and still ice cold, lovely jubbly. I then witnessed a SECL game reminiscent of the old Kent League that was just legalised violence with the occasional outburst of football. The Wells won 3-1 but will have an awful lot of bruises for their effots

The bar was closed at Hanworth Villa also i presume it the latest lock down regulations. Possibly but the bar at Fisher is remarkably small ,10 people social distancing would have filled it.

I saw the same fixture last season, after a mad dash from watching Millwall Vs Newport in the FA Cup.
Incredible view of Canary Wharf behind one goal. Think the ground was paid for via local property developments.

I could just be unlucky, but I've been on scorching hot days and they weren't serving alcohol but were absolutely fine for us to leave at half time to grab beers from the Tesco round the corner and bring them in.

Was it Fisher we were playing in the KSC Final at Shitefield when we found out we'd got promoted?
My memory is shot these days, so it probably wasn't...

I just can't get it out of my head that it was Fisher!
