Wonderful. But seems like another world now.
Good to see those Gills fans enjoying themselves so much...

I was there too - bliss! It's funny how things worked out, because it was at Priestfield that we found out we'd won the Conference and been promoted.
That away end was shite though. Gillingham should have been fined for their away 'facilities'.

(im standing up for Gillingham this lock down does my head in)

(im standing up for Gillingham this lock down does my head in) The view was one of the worst I can remember, which was partly down it being close to capacity but mainly because in an era when away fans were treated like shite, Gillingham were among the finest exponents of the art. I think this was the game when someone, possibly even the late Jeff Hewett, sang: "Andy Steggall, does your Mrs know you're gay?" very loudly when they were trying to do the post match interviews.

Wish I had this clip last night when I was watching the Crawley game live on STV with my Gills supporting acquaintance

We paid £15,000 for Osborne then. What was the most we paid for a player and what was the most we sold a player for?

Any advance on the £300 large we got from Wimbledon for Warren Barton? Keith Peacock said in his autobiography that Jim Thompson was going to accept their first offer, which was for significantly less. Think we paid £40k to Fisher for Kenny Charlery and Dave Mehmet in 1989. In 2001 we paid Ramsgate £2,000 for Steve Jones, which seemed like a lot at the time.

The moustachioed managers and the (presenter + 1 manager) grey suits with massive shoulders (I had one...) - yup it's 1990.

Only £300 for Barton? Have we ever received more than we got for joe Piggott? When was the last time we paid to sign a player?

We paid £49,000for the worlds worst striker Glenville Donegal he made Quigley and Mullins look world class

6k I think. There was a clause about promotion, which meant that in the play-off semi-final he ended up costing us an extra thousand by contributing to the win.
