I am missing the Welling match to achieve a lifelong ambition of watching Wolves play at Molineux (versus Brighton), though a friend who is a member there had to buy my ticket for me. It surprised me to find that the cost of a seat in the Steve Bull stand is only £19.50. Makes you wonder whether we should up sticks and move to the north! I've said it before and I'll say it again, with all the tv money etc then premier league teams can play in front of empty stadiums and not lose out. There is a reason why they can afford to charge the fans so little, although some still try and rip fans off. In that case can we not charge John Gooch £3.6billion to show us on Stones TV and drop the admission price to more affordable levels.

Are you advocating newer supporters don't turn up to watch Maidstone? Your standards towards said supporters seem to have changed from getting very upset by the word 'droves' No, I'm saying that if you think success is a god given right then a top 6 club in the premier league is probably the place for you. Clearly this was aimed at the glory hunting moron who didn't acknowledge the existence of the club before 2012 and who said he was giving up his season ticket, not a sweeping generalisation of all new supporters. But that's OK, you just carry on interpreting posts any way you want just to try and start an argument. So me observingthat some people didn't turn up to a RESERVE game (always made me laugh that it took pages for anyone to note that) and using such offensive language as 'droves' is absolutely awful. Meanwhile telling one supporter to eff off and calling an unspecified number the c-bomb i's OK. Obviously posting two or three times to moan about what you thought was said rather than was actually said and then refusing to accept the explanation when it is given because fact failed to accord with your preconceived world view is entirely reasonable. My commenting on what you ACTUALLY said is entirely unreasonable, especially given the disgusting language where children could be reading. Hilarious...

Another reason for fans staying away is the cost of watching Maidstone is now dearer than watching clubs in the football leagues. I went to Wolves v Brighton last season, HS. One of the more enjoyable grounds with proper vociferous fans. Poor game though 0-0. I also saw the Brighton v Wolves 2-2 draw earlier this season.

Strangely angry post from daveu, slating those supporters whose enthusiasm is on the decline. It is a fact, the club has lost hundreds of supporters and the decline in numbers will continue without an improvement in performances and results. After a disaster of a season last year we now seem to be experiencing a disappointing season and getting worse. More to the point, season ticket sales have already taken a big hit and judging from the murmerings I hear, more will follow. Performances by the team are just not good enough and apathy seems to have spread to most parts of the Gallagher. I'm pretty sure daveu is in the group of best and loyal 10% of supporters but what about the other 90% ? It is this group whose numbers following Stones are on the decline. The trend can only reduce revenues further which means the wages budget for players will head south again. Anger you may feel daveu and you are entitled to condemn the stay away supporters. It may make you feel better but who else does it help ? Strangely, you are not accused of being argumentative. Incidentally, I was absolutely slated, as unwelcoming, a few seasons back when I forecast falling numbers when the required were a few lean seasons. I was only describing reality. Now it seems OK to swear at the very people they claimed to defend. Shocking.

Not sure whether I am allowed to say or not but I can assure you that he is fine. Have a good recovery Mr U. Cheers pal. Had my varicose veins done yesterday. Bit stiff this morning but no real pain. Just got to take it easy for a couple of days and keep the bandages on until Tuesday but otherwise fine.
