It does make me chuckle that certain supporters would have you believe how well we are doing. 9 wins from 25 games in a league where I am struggling to name any really good teams tells a different story. I still don’t understand why Olutade is not getting a fair chance either. Wasn’t at game today so can’t comment about performance today. But hey it’s our 1st defeat in 5............

Hackensack is a town in New Jersey After today’s woeful result Hackensack should be tomorrow’s headline.

The thread started with a post suggesting a relatively easy win for the Stones. The reality is somewhat different. John and Hakan's promises that their teams always improve after Christmas has been shown to be just talk. Another disappointing performance with lack of quality and no great desire to win. Just not good enough. Talk of the play-offs is pointless. We are looking like a mid table team at best now. Midfield still failing to dominate or control again, but no change there. Sadly, we are likely to see the team slipping down the league now rather than pressing on.

I think the full time experiment has proven to be a failure. I expect next season will be part time again and let’s be honest when we progressed through this league in one attempt last time that is how we did it. Being a “Big Team” in a league seems less fun than the plucky under dog that we were in our first season in the NL. Many said it would be a consolidation season, but most of us expected a little more with the money being spoken about. If we really do only have an average budget now, how does that work with most teams being part time in the NLS 🤷🏼♂️

Whatever the budget is we have (and I still think it is near the top end for this league. Just a guess I know) I think the recruitment has been awful. I expected so much more from John Still. I think the Barnet supporters may have been right sadly.......

The club is going backwards at the mo. Some of the players are just not good enough. This is down to John and Ham as these are all their signings. Seems that the owners do not want to spend the money anymore due to wanting to either sell the club or get in more investors. Until the ownership saga gets sorted then we will never progress. Shocked that no one wants to invest as we are one of the highest attendances in non league and always have a daily income. This needs to get sorted ASAP. This is just another shocking season as like I said we are going backwards as a club. its not the signings. its them

No more excuses but I do expect an apology to supporters from the managers. Totally unacceptable effort from the team. So poor today. Midfield and frontmen were pathetic.

We could sign the best part time players but since going full time we get the players that no other team wants. Until we get investment then part time may be the way to go. Shame as the club should be aiming higher but we just can’t compete with other clubs.

Massive let down today from a team that looks short in quality to too many positions. Talk of the play offs is proving to be just bluster. Hard to believe our team is full time. What do they do all week ? Total non show today, so disappointing.

Sword I see you are forecasting a win by a couple of goals. Fair enough but can you give a precise scoreline, I'm placing a bet soon and need to be sure what the matchscore won't be. Actually if you check my facebook page you will see I changed my prediction before the game to a 1-0 defeat, sennockian will back me up on that. I also had a £5 fourfold come in for £77.
