From a Bath City fan on Nat S forum:
"It took a 96th minute penalty to rescue a point for us but a draw was the right result. If ever a game screamed mid-table then this was it. Both sides showed occasional glimpses that they could be better than that but apart from a free-kick that hit the post for us midway through the second half a goal looked unlikely. Then with 14 minutes left a header from a corner gave Maidstone the lead. Despite our mixed recent form we didn't let our heads drop but it looked like that would be enough to nick the win. Then with the four minutes of stoppage just about up a punt into the box saw Lewington in the Stones goal come racing out with never a hope of getting to the ball ahead of Ryan Brunt, instead he just wiped him out. Having been denied an equally stonewall penalty last week thankfully the referee wasn't clueless this time - even waiting to see if the follow up shot went in before pointing at the spot. And Brunt showed nerves of steel to fire the penalty into the roof of the net."

Give DaveU back his B&A glasses! Having just watched Hak's post-match interview I think those glasses have found a new home.

Hak seems happy enough with the performance but that is not a view universally shared with those supporters who attended. The improvement in play that was being talked about by the management team seems to have stalled. Hope Sam Corne is fit for Saturday.

Oddly enough, the report in the NLP, presumably from a home perspective, put a rather more positive spin on the performance than most of us who were there. Maybe our expectations are higher and we are more easily disappointed.

Having watched the highlights, it seems Lewington was a bit suspect on several occasions. On top of that, he didn't need to go for the ball that resulted in the penalty - which it certainly was. Am tempted to say we deserved to win, because we scored a great goal against the run of play, while the back four playing on Saturday have shown numerous times already this season that they actually cope with sieges pretty well. Doesn't look pretty, but is largely very effective.

Although I accept it,s difficult for a reserve player to come into a game unexpectedly an play well, I did expect better of Lewington being the goal-keeper coach he did cost us the game by giving away a penalty so late in the game.Fingers crossed Cole is back for the next game or at least Lewington will have learnt not to be so hasty.

Lewington had a mare to give that penalty away. So needless.
Having said that, it can’t be easy to come in and play a match situation after so long without any match practice. I saw enough from him last year to think he is a more than capable goalie and a great back up.
Shame to give away the points.
I didn’t go, but have heard from a few that we didn’t play that well. Maybe Hak didn’t want to slaughter the players in his chat after the game. Managers don’t always say it as they see it. Sometimes the squad need a boost after a game.
Also, to give the opinion that we were poor after sticking 5 of them on the transfer list is not going to look good!

Lot of pretty harsh criticism of Lewington. Cole has his downsides as well. Certainly not great at coming for the ball, and often chooses to punch when he should be catching. We've been spoilt for years with a very good keeper and there just aren't that many around as good as Worgs at this level.

I was as disappointed as most to see Worgs move on BUT There may not be much in it, but imo Coley edges it in the keeping stakes

Worgs may have lost a bit of form in his last few months with us, but he didn't take long to become number one at Dover, and while Cole is a decent keeper, I think Worgs just edges it, especially when coming for high balls into the box.

Interesting to read Dover’s forum after their recent run of results, calling for Worgan to be dropped and blaming him for poor performances
